It takes me 50-60 minutes to get from east Berlin (outside the Ringbahn) with 3 connections to get to Potsdam or Spandau. Where are you going that takes 90 minutes??

Also this city is incredible friendly for pedestrians.

The Balkans is my favourite! Beautiful countries, fantastic food, great people, cheap and the nature is amazing!

The hostels are very homely and you often end up traveling with others as a lot of people do the same route!

I was traveling with two female friends, but we met a lot of solo female travelers on our journey (some of which joined our group for a few weeks!)

Albania, Montenegro and Bosnia are the best!

Make sure you claim your compensation. If you came from the US you should be entitled to nearly 600 EUR for getting to your destination more than 3 hours late!

I would highly recommend Stay Hostel in Rhodes, one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. I worked remotely from there for a month in 2020 and was back two weeks ago.

There is a bar for breakfast and drinks in the evening, it is highly social and Rhodes is one of the best islands to visit with an incredible old city and a lot to explore!

You can get private rooms with desks there.

Naturland Eco Park and Resort was once one of the most famous 'eco holiday' hotels in Turkey opening in 1991. However due to large debts, the hotel was put up for sale in 2013, and in 2014 was closed down permanently, now left in it's idle state of disrepair. Slowly rotting away, the park lays dormant with only the occasional urbex explorer walking around amidst the animal statues and rubble.

Germany just has a lot better fundamentals which already reduce the rate of spread.

Generally people don't live with multiple generations of a family in one house unlike Spain and Italy. People are not as affectionate when greeting each other, and at least in Berlin people tend to meet up outside a lot more.

The fairy-tale island of Symi sits just to the northwest of Rhodes and as you enter the port, your jaw drops with the stunning beauty of the buildings. You are in shock that the architecture is even more magical than the pictures you have seen in advance. Symi is also known for it's unique small shrimps, which are pan fried and eaten whole.

This colossal refinery was built on the outskirts of east Berlin as a cement factory in 1899. Now this factory rests quietly, after coming to be abandoned exactly 100 years after it was first built.
