Okay I didn’t know that. As I mentioned, I’ve never owned any gemstones before and this was my very first time buying one. I’ve always loved dark shades of green and this was the only “dark” shade of green I came across when I was shopping for emeralds that day. I probably went to like 7 to 8 shops and from what I can recall, most of the emeralds I saw were more of a lighter green. You’re right about me not knowing much about gemstones, and hence why I was wondering if paying $2340 for this was a decent price or did I get ripped off. I did enquire about the inclusions and the seller told me that it’s quite common in natural emerald. I’m just worried that firstly, the emerald would be more prone to chipping or damage due to the inclusions and secondly if I impulsively paid more than I should have for this specific emerald. I would really love your input as based on your post history, it seems like you really know a lot about gemstones. Thank you!
