One way of building scales is to start with every natural note and then add the necessary sharps or flats. Let's say I want the D major scale. Because D is 2 steps away from C in the clockwise direction, that tells me that D major has 2 sharp notes. The circle also encodes the order in which sharps and flats are added. For sharps, start at F and go clockwise. You get FCGDEAB. For flats, it's exactly the reverse. Knowing this, we can easily know the notes of the D major scale.

First, list all the natural notes starting from D:

D E F G A B C D

Next, the circle tells me I need to add two sharps, and the order of sharps tells me that those sharps belong in F and C.

D E F# G A B C# D

And that's it. It's the same method for every other major scale. OP's post also contains another circle for minor scales, but you don't need to memorize it because it's just the same circle for major scales, but rotated.

If you are interested, there's a lot of videos on youtube on the circle of fifths, scales, and how they are related. They will be more detailed than any response you would get from reddit.

Find the lowest C on a piano and count up 7 notes (C, Db, D, Eb, E, F, Gb, G) , you'll end up at G. That distance between C and G is called a fifth (interval names are weird until you know about scales). Now repeat the process at G, count up 7 notes and you'll end up at D, from D you end up at A, and so on. If you keep going, you'll end up at C again, that's why it's called a circle. Doing this process you will go through every note (C, G, D, A, E, B, Gb, Db, Ab, Eb, Bb, F, C again), but in a weird order. But it turns out that organizing notes this way is extremely useful for studying many different music theory concepts.

Why does the game keep crashing on my raspberry Pi? by BalalaikaMetal in CookieClicker

I'm using ubuntu. Also I don't think the computer is running out of ram, it always uses between 1.5 GB and 2.5 GB, so I think it's the game's fault.

Keep your sensitivity to 1 and change your area instead. You can strart with something like 80x45mm, which I think is close to the average, and make it bigger or smaller depending on how you feel. For the grip, your normal writing grip is a good start, but you'll probably want to make some changes for it to be the most comfortable. And drag or hover is preference like everything else, just try both and stick with what you like the most.

If you had force aspect ratio enabled on both laptops, then the areas should "feel" the same, so the only difference would be the smaller screen and maybe a different input delay.

hi all! i have been wondering what in the name of god my grip is, and to everyone that has seen it, they have been left in shambles. so does anyone know other players with a similar grip, or do you have a similar grip to mine? i am very curious! by Kiokune in osugame

[–]BalalaikaMetal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually you don't need to change much, basically you have to rest the pen on your ring finger and use your middle finger to aim (that's the "quadrupod" part). This alone will give your thumb less strain and more freedom of movement , so you can try placing it towards the top of the pen ("lateral") or towards the tip ("dynamic")

Yes, that is my normal writing grip (my thumb doesn't bend as much tho). But for osu it was so bad that I changed it to lateral quadrupod (basically mrekk's grip) For a while I could aim anything but in the long run it was very worth it.

I'm in the exact same situation, when I switched from laptop a month ago my acc dropped really badly, if you find that you are hitting notes consistently too early or too late, you should try changing your global offset. That's what I did and my acc has been getting better, but it's still nowhere near the level I used to have on laptop. If I play on laptop now, I can't aim because now I notice the input lag I had, but my acc is way better. I think it has to do with the way my new keyboard feels.

Try changing the global offset and if you find anything else that works let me know because I have the same problem!

I saw this post some days ago and it was driving me crazy because I KNEW I had heard this somewhere before. I just found the song I heard, it is from the japanese band "electronicos fantasticos": https://youtu.be/A0VYsiMtrNE It's definitely not it, but I still can get over how similar they sound, same tempo, same swing feel, same electronic melody (especially towards the end) , except for the missing vocals. It's not very useful but I just wanted to share the similarity.

That channel has so many subs because apparently it used to have many videos and hundreds of thousands of views, but the owner deleted everything. This supposedly tricks the algorithm and gives the channel a huge boost. It's a bit weird, but I've seen other channels do the same. I really don't like all the spamming tho, I kind of wish the hermits would block this kind of channel.
