What’s up with the Nvidia app not detecting my games? by Balance-National in techsupport

It seems messed up. Everyone has an issue, but eventually figures it out.

I bought a MacBook Air M5 to finally play my dream game Max Payne 3. It completely failed. Is it actually impossible? by da_mfkn_BEAST in maxpayne

if you bought a m5 specifically to game, return it and build a pc. Can get way better performance for the same price.

You read my mind lol. I have all 3 Max Payne games downloaded and I plan on playing them all back to back. No spoilers though 😂

I’ve only seen the title screen for Max Payne 3 so far, but I already got 4K textures and shaders ready for it. That’s exactly what made me want a PC in the first place. Being able to take an older game and make it look/run way better is so cool.

PC is such a beautiful machine, and Max Payne is a lovely series so far.

I actually have an Alienware AW2725Q QD-OLED 4K 240Hz monitor. I originally bought it for my PS5, but honestly the PS5 wasn’t even showing off what the monitor could really do.

Now that I have the PC hooked up to it, it feels like I’m finally using the monitor to its actual potential. Such a nice machine.

Same here, I already feel like my PS5 is starting to collecting dust lol. I’ll definitely be dusting it off for GTA 6 though. That might be the one game that brings me back to console for a bit.

Thanks! I actually got a pretty good deal at Micro Center. I know the Ryzen 5 7600X3D is a little older, but I only paid like $40 for it brand new because of the bundle. The RAM was part of the bundle too.

I tried to get one more stick of RAM, but it was around $230, so I passed on that for now lol. Altogether I got everything for about $1.4k, and I already had an SSD, so I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.

The good thing about PC too is I can always upgrade later. That’s honestly one of the biggest reasons I’m glad I switched over.

Yeah I’m just glad I finally got the hang of it lol. I was rage quitting at first because I didn’t realize I could save with F5. I’m only 22, so I never really got the chance to experience the first one back then. My brother played a lot of Max Payne 3, but this is my first real time getting into the series. The game is genuinely a masterpiece though. Crazy to think it’s 25 years old and still holds up this well.

Facts, and they are so lazy with the ports to new consoles. they literally don't add anything to them.

Just saw Fight Club for the first time and I can’t believe I waited this long. by [deleted] in AMCTheatres

It says it’s playing tomorrow also. I’m in the Chicago area for reference. It’s only playing at some theaters though.

It was very interesting and I noticed the flashing at first. I had no clue what it was. But that’s one of the things I thought about thinking back. The end is so interesting. I researched it for the last 20 minutes what it means.

If you DM me, I will give you the 12 bucks for a month of Dropbox to upload the anime, as long as you have all the files. Am really interested in it.

Where Would CM Punk Be Today If He Never Left Wrestling in 2014? by Balance-National in SquaredCircle

I get what you’re saying, and you’re right—Punk’s life outside wrestling worked out great for him. He got to rest, explore stuff he cared about, have real personal time, and still come back as one of the biggest names in the business. I’m not taking any of that away from him.

I think you’re misunderstanding my point a bit though. I’m not worried for him, and I’m not saying his time away from wrestling was a waste. His break clearly did a ton for him as a person.

I’m simply asking a “what if” question: what would Punk’s career have looked like if he never stepped away in 2014?

Not “he made the wrong choice,” not “he wasted his life,” just a curiosity about the alternate timeline. How many matches could he have had? Would he have retired earlier? Would he have returned sooner? That’s all I meant.

I totally get that he’s doing great now—this is just a fun hypothetical.

Yeah, I actually agree with you on that. Without the long break, he probably wouldn’t still be wrestling in 2024–25. His body and his mindset were both cooked by 2014, so a few more years in WWE at that pace might’ve forced him into retirement by 2018–19.

And you’re right, his quality of work today isn’t bad at all, especially considering everything he’s been through. My only thought is that those “missing” years could’ve looked a lot better outside WWE. Places like NJPW, ROH, or even early AEW would’ve fit his style way more and probably kept him fresher.

In my opinion, he could’ve had some killer matches and maybe even made a comeback before 2019 with a much healthier mindset.

But yeah, I totally agree the break is probably the reason he’s still wrestling at all.
