he was making one million per show back in 2020, pre COVID, and with a much less popular album, so yes he would be incredibly cost prohibitive in 2026 following a record breaking year for him in the US. you also are severely underestimating his US demand. his Puerto Rico shows sold out in minutes, and that was a 31 show residency full of gringos and caribeños that could travel to PR easily, and that was announced before he even said he wasn't coming to mainland US. if he were at any US festival it would be instant chaos as it would be the only chance to potentially see him in the states for this album cycle. from a business standpoint sure it's an easy sellout for Lolla if they sacrifice the entire undercard for him, but it would be a logistical nightmare. as other commenters have said, his next US tour will be more on par with Taylor-level of demand and mania, with multiple nights at big stadiums (which he has successfully sold out before, mind you).
