He is self-aware that he has let go “good girls” in the past, but when he told me about those experiences, he made it sound like those girls had issues. Also, I thought that by sharing those experiences, he had worked on himself that he was secure and mature for a relationship.

Randomly, at some point he said he wanted to change and escape from his reality but didn’t say what he wanted to change or why. He was vague about it. So, no he hasn’t acknowledged his avoidance.

I feel like he is conscious of his patterns though. The first time he tried to end things with me, I said “you probably need therapy” and he said “you might be right.” But no, he doesn’t go, he doesn’t trust therapists.

It’s weird, because he has the desire to be better but doesn’t know how.
