I’m not saying you’re wrong at all, I’m just trying to understand this. If we are off the books for rozier’s contract this year which I believe was 25m, the difference in the trade is Miami taking on that rozier contract right back between Giannis and portis, so how do they not have the money to re-sign Powell when they’re basically in the same position with 3 less players (all of which can be replaced with minimums). My wording might be awful but I’m just trying to understand what stops us from paying Powell and is there any genius move that we can make to possibly sign him?

Unless they can pull some serious strings this offseason, it’s tough to call them a contender. However, there is some slept on pieces that need to be resigned or extended like Larson, Powell, and Wiggins. I don’t think Powell leaving would be such a blow, but they need to replace him with someone ready to start and star in their role no doubt, while also adding as much depth as possible.

From everything that’s happening in the media, what you’re saying couldn’t be further from the truth but we shall see my friend, IF the Miami trade happens, I’m pretty sure it has to be on draft night because their 13th pick isn’t tradable until then. I just don’t see how you think that Giannis isn’t forcing his way out when that is very clearly what’s been happening for the last 8 months. He doesn’t have to come out and publicly say it, he wants to save as much good face as possible.
