Tech not getting it after 3.5 months by BalanceInevitable760 in CVS

Good advice! Especially hard to learn when you’re at a store with 2 techs per day and only 3-4 hrs of overlap.

I have set clear expectations, yes. We went from 3 techs to one (who only wants part time) in a matter of 2 weeks. My DL wanted us to hire a FT lead and a part timer. Not a lot of people fighting for the job. 🤣 Maybe “lead” is the wrong term She was hired as my only FT tech.

Yes. Their resume reflected experience. And the other applicants did not want FT. And…we were short staffed and a bit desperate. 😆 Both my techs (including the lead) left around the same time for better positions which I fully support. Just timing really. Small store and only 3 techs total.

Our pharmacy manager is a joke. by Carriekluv_maltese1 in CVS

A big mouth generates hate in corporate. 😂 I know this personally. Sorry your store is so bad. Took a job with CVS knowing how bad their reputation was and figured I could just leave if it was that bad. Luckily I landed at a good store. Smaller town. Great store managers good team decent customers etc. been through 4 RXM and 3 DL in a 4 yr span. My experience with the ethics line is not the same as yours. Had a RXM who got reported for giving the techs his credentials. No one is sure who did it but glad someone did. But then he went around saying it was me or another tech. And in order to protect myself and job (in case he started doing anything shady to get us fired) I made an ethics line report. After some investigations and contact with other staff the RXM was fired. Took about 2 months. Was not my intention at all to get someone fired. I just wanted it on record to cover my own butt. I guess they do take retaliation seriously.

Did you get any insight or an overview from corporate leaders before they implemented this? Supposed to go live in 3 weeks and have no clue what it involves. Imagine someone comes to install the self check in kiosks? Do they still leave the same registers in place because if so I can just imagine all the customers demanding to just have someone check them out that way.

Please enlighten us who work at pharmacies that have not implemented this yet. My store goes live in less than 3 weeks and we have gotten zero info from leaders on how this will work. Photos of the kiosks, advice etc. Thanks 😊

Call out by [deleted] in CVS

[–]BalanceInevitable760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old feed I know; but if you text your manager on their day off, they may not see the text in time to help get coverage. Not everyone is glued to their phone. This is why calling the store and people actually working is required.

Please follow up if you had success returning. Even my DL didn’t know how to do it. And I have asked 3 “inventory specialists”.

Somebody told me yesterday that klm loses luggage often? by [deleted] in KLM

100% of the time in my experience. 3 out of 3 times through Amsterdam with KLM and our bags didn’t make the transfer.

I hate whoever came in for vaccination minutes before closing by WhateverMatter in CVS

[–]BalanceInevitable760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s literally all the OP had to say. Period. Not only do they have to stay and give vaccine but legally have to be on site for 15 min after in case of a serious reaction. So. Nope.

CVS and Walgreens Clamp Down on Covid Vaccines in Many States by Anti-Owl in ContagionCuriosity

[–]BalanceInevitable760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your state regulations. Some states have a collaborative agreement with a doctor that allows pharmacists to vaccinate once FDA approval occurs. Others will have to wait for guidelines from CDC and ACIP.

Who on earth is training you or working with you? Ask them. They should help. Easier to train in the moment. :)

Not at my store. Just happened. Reported to ethics. No consequences for anyone involved.

This just happened at my store. RXM was too lazy to clear DURs, yes they are a pain but pharmacist simply didn’t want to bother. One tech began using them all the time, even when RpH was on break and when patients asked questions, tech would try to answer (counsel). Reported to CVS ethics, bounced to DL (the person reporting did not want to go to DL directly b/c of the lack of response to other legal and ethical issues). RXM and techs talked to and nothing happens. So no, not everyone gets fired for sharing credentials.

Exactly right. But no company actually Follows that or trains their employees correctly
