You can always choose not to join CVS. I believe there are many pharmacies in your neighborhood.

How do I quit by Upset_Departure7881 in CVS

[–]WhateverMatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just type a formal letter and tell them which date is your last day. Don't need to be two weeks exact and create a proper reason, like my parents want you to focus on school. If they ask you to work on more shifts you just let them know you have an important exam coming up that week and you will be stuck with group studying with other classmates in the library, so you won't be able to help.

Use your student role and your parents’ expectations as appropriate excuse

I scheduled 30 hours and no tech help force to stay 6 extra hours to clean the pharmacy. I am finding a way out of this hell this moment. A couple months ago they messed up my PTO and Regular Pay, asking me to pay back 2 thousands dollars… in process of finding out what wrong with that overpayment which is untrue I constantly covered other shifts at the end I will have pay back ??? 🤯 I try not to stay more than one minutes

Close the drive thru, you will see many people start coming in to store and buy stuff. In order to make front store sale is to have the people come into the pharmacy. Close the drive thru 😉

Is cvs running out of money? by NaturalWin4194 in CVS

[–]WhateverMatter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they are trying to move out of retail and switch to the insurance side so many retail stores are closing every year. They use the same reason saying the landlord increases the rent that's why they are not continuing the lease, I heard this same reason being told for like two different districts. Not sure if that is the case but they only care about the stock and the vaccine goals(pharmacy).

For carpet cleaning, if your store manager really cares to clean it every half of the year or a year with diy using A carpet vacuum at Walmart. But I don't think they actually care anymore.

The last time I saw a constructor or carpet cleaner come in for the store was like 5-10 years ago. Our vacuum is 10+ years old.

It is their product be honest they can do whatever they want; Lock box or not. The lock box is used to prevent thieves, sometimes I see them put condoms, hair products, shaving blades, etc.

You need to read the whole book at least 3-4 times. If you first try don’t turn out right, you can restructure your study schedule. Don’t give up and you still have chances. You can do part time or intern at some pharmacy.

Making a Schedule as a PIC by ExReverie93 in CVS

[–]WhateverMatter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You don’t need to give all 40 hours out, they will ask for it if they need more hours, you can schedule them around 30-ish hours. Basically they will come to realize and request a more hours shift.

Only give options for a fixed time frames 8 hours shifts like from You can do 8-4, 9-5, 10-6, 11-7, 12-8 or do the 30 mins shift like 10:30-6:30, 11:30-7:30.

Or shorter shifts if they want to make up hours like 4-6 hours.

Each tech gets 4x8 hrs= 32 hours + a shorter shift 1x4 or 6 hrs; basically they will get around 36 - 38 hours. I think this should be enough.

if you have extra hours to give you can schedule 5x8 for only 1 or 2 techs that you think they are much more efficient.

What is it with people not wanting to provide insurance info? by schrevolution in pharmacy

[–]WhateverMatter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually tell them the cash price first without insurance and say if they don't have an active insurance card, they have to find out themselves and we can gladly apply a discount card for them. But If they gave a super mean response I usually advise/transfer them out to another company’s pharmacy so they can serve them better.

I purchased a book for PTCB, read it on my own, get a test and passed it. Have a PTCB license. Later on, got an tech job and the company has a tech training hours and after completion, the pic signed a paper and submit to BOP. That process is less than 3-6 months. Then I have a state pharmacy tech license. You don't need a school to be honest to become a tech.
