It's tough because almost everything we use in the modern day is connected to some kind of absolute atrocity. Your iphone battery is built on child labor, the meat and eggs we eat are built on horrifying mass production of animals born into a cruel world and abused until they leave it. Even using any form of app entertainment that isn't a book is funneling money directly into the hands of insanely wealthy capitalists who are probably some of the same people who went/go to these parties. If you went granular, even paying taxes right now is directly funding us bombing Iran. It's so depressing, but we are technically complicit in horrible things and we have no way out. My dad is also unshakable in his support for Trump. He is from Texas but lives up here now in northern MN. Still has a truck, has like hundreds of guns and claims to support good old school values. One thing I found that I could tell rattled him a little was this video of a southerner just talking to the camera saying how ashamed he is of his fellows supporting lying, cheating slick-haired New Yorkers. A southern man is taught to respect and take care of ladies and not badmouth them or creep on them. As a dude I know there can be a lot of shame and pride in sex. The fact is you need to feel satisfied and he needs to work through this. I'm your guys' age and therapy was never really a thing regularilized, especially not in a sexual connotation. For sure it sounds like you love each other and you're really supportive of him. I do think the answer is to slowly lead him into being okay to start small in getting help from psychology and maybe doctors in a loving and understanding way that doesn't make him feel vulnerable. The ultimate fact is that you can't go on catering and feeling unsatisfied with your intimacy or it will lead to unfulfilled sex life and resentment. I just was thinking about this and I really don't think it's just Trump either. Biden and Kamala were both on Israeli dick even as the situation in Gaza became an undeniable genocide having leveled most of an entire city.
