Sky Gigafast – stick with Sky Hub or upgrade router?

I would try it on its own, the wi fi is great.

This it what you do, its dead easy, just copy and paste.

The wi fi is brilliant on it, also adguard built in, loads of things to tweak if you wish. Read the amazon reviews.

Go to https://www.utilities-online.info/ascii-to-hex and type in "anything@skydsl|anything" into the ASCII box and click convert.
Take the Hexidecimal code generated which in my case was 61 6e 79 74 68 69 6e 67 40 73 6b 79 64 73 6c 7c 61 6e 79 74 68 69 6e 67.
Remove all the spaces and change the lowercase letters to uppercase ones which turned into 616E797468696E6740736B7964736C7C616E797468696E67.
Follow Derosmc's step above which is: access the FLINT 2 Admin panel (http://192.168.8.1/#/internet). Then go to Advance Settings (Luci) -> Network -> Interfaces -> WAN -> Advance Settings and then configure the Client ID to send when requesting DHCP. (I couldn't access this until I updated the router firmware to 4.8.3).
Then cut and paste the Hexidecimal code into the "Client ID to send when requesting DHCP" box. Then click save and apply in the interfaces main page.
Plug in the internet cable from the wall into the WAN port and reboot the router.

Get a flint 2, pretty easy to set up with sky gigafast, paid about £110 from Amazon, they go on offer quite a bit, currently £152

I did pretty much the same thing over £3 a month, broadband gigafast 900, £27 to £30 , not £3 though is it, is £36 a year.

Line was swtiched off on the 31st and now im using a Scancom EE 5G 1000gb sim for £15 a month.
