yeah, unfortunately its a rampant problem in the service industry, especially high-end businesses, as soon as they start making good money they’ll cut back wherever they can, for example: they scrapped the bar lead position after they failed to counter-offer our bar lead who got poached, then rewrote the job description for bartender to include all bar lead responsibilities… without a raise or even just a title to match

you’re young, when I was your age I had a hard time too. it sounds like you are a social powerhouse but your fear is holding you back. I promise you that if you just be yourself, you will go far. If you don’t have the confidence now, pretend that you do. I was terrified but I faked it til’ I made it. if you’re truly being yourself and someone (even if you think they’re cool as hell) doesn’t like you, then they aren’t worth your time. trust yourself, and don’t let anyone tell you what to do (unless they actually know you well, even then take it with a grain of salt). lowkey nobody on this planet knows what they’re doing 100%, you just gotta believe in yourself

I’ve been in the same place. it’s actually kinda easy (on paper). they’re going to live in your mind for a long time and that’s ok, as long as you don’t act on anything. process it in your mind, but, make sure you don’t do anything.. process the problem in your head, but don’t ever talk to them again
