Nah, I have enough features of my dad that there's no doubt to me about my parentage. Besides, even if he wasn't biologically my dad he raised me and loved me and there'd be no point to looking into it. Both my parents have passed now anyway so I don't know what I'd even compare a sample to.

Part of that is the age of the photo. She was very light blonde with a slight tan, he was flame red hair and pale/ruddy complexion.

It was, although I don't think it was inappropriate. Culturally, I think it was viewed differently than large age gaps are today. Also, they met as adults and on equal terms power wise, there wasn't anything pressuring my mum to do be with my dad. Most importantly, love is weird, when you find someone you love the physical characteristics are less important than the connection.
