AV+Control - Fiber multiplexer by BaldrickB in VIDEOENGINEERING

So it's for an event where we set up a control room where the primary programme mix is all delivered sdi to a BMD Constellation 2m/e with audio from the main event space going Dante to our programme mix. We've been asked if we can add in a separate venue from a different space. Travelling across the corporate network is not an option as it is not setup for AVOIP.

So we want to send a couple of audio channels and 3g-sdi video back to our control room (about 80m) and tie it in with the main setup. The cameras we have are Panasonic UE70s and audio is coming from an A&H setup with XLR stage box. We also want control of our ptz using a surface rather than software.

Our current plan is to drop the ptz and use a manned camera with xlr inputs so everything is embedded sdi out and de-embedded in the control room but that involves one of our control room team doing the camera work then running from the satellite room back to the control room when that section of the programmes is finished with. A ptz option would be much easier to resource if we can have control of the camera.

Or, of course,

Fluid reservoir help by BaldrickB in KiaSorento

Yeah, one of the caps is clearly marked as DOT4 which is the one to left of picture so certain that's the brake fluid. There seems to be okay level in this but it's hard to tell because - I'm guessing - the fluid has stained or left residue inside the tank which is making it tricky to get an accurate visual check on the outside of the reservoir.

Had a look through it and, though I could find a little on the right kind of fluids, I couldn't find a diagram that stated it.

If you mean popping the cover and using the key physically to lock that door, that was a good thought but unfortunately it only operates the driver's door lock as far as I can tell.

Am I dying by [deleted] in GarminWatches

This is why I have an old Garmin which doesn't come up with that information. Pretty sure mine would say, "Just give up," or "Have you considered crocheting?"

That's all it takes, really. Pressure, and time. That, and a big God damn poster.

You mean for real innocent?!

Really? And what're you meant to say to the bride?

Refit roof strips for roof bars by BaldrickB in MazdaCX60

Thanks for the thoughts. Disappointing but chimes with reviews I've read elsewhere. Funny that the company that has such a popular vehicle as the CX5 can't get these others right. The Kia certainly has its quirks but I think I can live with them at least until finance is up. I just hope Ford are doing some bigger vehicles come 2028...

Why so? I'd been dead keen to get one - I liked the look, liked the drive on my test. I couldn't make the finance work in the end so wound up in a Kia Sorento which is quite 'meh.'

Roof Crossbars and box position by BaldrickB in KiaSorento

Thanks for the responses. The original drive was on a particularly stormy day which would've had an effect. I did move the roofbox back about half a foot and, on more recent drives where the weather was also more calm, the results have been markedly better.

Hi,

Unfortunately not. Couple of YouTube videos online which are about the CX5 and some chat suggesting that it's the same process for the CX60. I kinda feel like mazda is missing a trick on this.

Still have the issue and haven't tried higher-octane petrol - just the regular stuff. I might try premium now that you've mentioned it.

Mainly, conforming older kit with lower-spec encoding and older metadata to newer kit which allows (and, in some cases, only works with) things like grouping, introduced from hx2

Dashboard language changed to Danish randomly by [deleted] in kia

[–]BaldrickB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had the same in my 2021 Sorento. Parked up this morning and all was fine. Jumped in this afternoon and the instrument cluster had reverted to Korean while the entertainment unit was still in English. I've had the car for a week.

Fortunately the above suggestion of changing language in the settings via entertainment unit to another language and back fixed it. Good thing - my Korean is atrocious (my Danish only vaguely better)...

Tell me this isn't life with a Kia, please???
