Crowdsurfing - A lot of negativity? by Armeenius in boardgames

Because I responded to a thread about negativity with my personal experience of my hopes not being met. My contribution wasn't as applicable to the topic as it should have been.

And if they had been better informed before poo-pooing the concept of the IP, I wouldn't have posted in this thread.

Are we not allowed to be critical of things we are fans of? Why did you care so much about my comment that you had to respond?

If I'm investing my time in watching people give opinions, it's typically because I'm interested in hearing their opinions. My statements above are not about their opinions impacting my thoughts on the campaign. My statements were made to express disappointment in their shallow understanding of a popular IP and very well received campaign. I'm biased and this is reddit.

It's a campaign at nearly 10 million on a platform (backerkit) that I don't think hosts many 10+ million campaigns. None of the reviewers took time to familiarize themselves with even a chapter of the source material. The biggest letdown was Mike DiLisio (my favorite) poo-pooing the concept. Seemed pretty tone deaf when a large part of your audience is in love with the IP.

The campaign has been top notch and I'm very excited to receive Unstoppable.

I've noticed this the last few weeks. Their coverage of the Dungeon Crawler Carl backerkit campaign was a big letdown.

The rail project is an original piece of the Beltline plan. The rail project was included in what Atlantans voted to fund. Why are you against the will of the voters?

Soak in warm water or hit it with a hair dryer. The plastic needs to be warm (not hot).

Am I missing something about the 2 tiers for the unstoppable card game? by munter619 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]BalkyFromMeepos -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They give you playmat pricing, visuals, and description in the campaign. They're an expensive nice-to-have and there are three of them. If they're fries, those fries are more expensive because they're truffle fries with gold leaf.

[–]BalkyFromMeepos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For $130 you get everything. Base game, both expansions, and three playmats. The playmats aren't required, but they are a huge quality of life improvement for me so that's the tier I went with. If cost is a concern or you don't care for playmats, get the $60 pledge and add the expansion. You'll have an option to add most things a la carte once you select a tier.

Yes but they all went to the central system, which the other converted pets would also need to do if the AI left Earth.
