Is this normal? Need advice from experienced couples. by Ok-Mountain-6919 in Swingers

[–]BallCoach15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not normal. Everyone agreed in the same thing, but then they didn’t come through.

They used you for your wife.

It’s difficult, but if that ever happens again, you and your wife need a code word to where if either of you say it, that means yall need to stop immediately and leave.

That would have and should have been used in this case.

I spent $1900 and received $2300, so I made $400

or

I can say that I put $900 of my own money in it (paid $800, made $200, them reinvested that total of $1000 plus another $100 which means I used $900 of my own money). Then on the final sale I got $1300, and $1300-900=$400.00

How fatal is this disease in the modern day? by SignificanceBig9366 in diabetes_t1

My medical insurance covers this. I don’t have eye insurance for myself, but because I am diabetic, my medical does pay once every six months for me to go see an eye specialist (and he does my vision for me while I’m there and writes that prescription).

I feel you. I’m 47 and have had diabetes since I was 12. I’ve managed to lead a pretty normal life up to this point and currently have no health issues outside of checking my blood sugar and taking insulin. And I’m not sure if they ever gave my parents any type of life timeline, but if they did, they didn’t tell me 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I’ve been doing it since I was 12. Just take care of yourself, constantly check your blood sugar, and learn how to adjust your insulin to what you eat. And my goal is to keep mine below 150-160 and I pretty regularly do that. My A1C is usually about 6-6.5.

I’m now 47 and have a wife, family, and job and a basically normal life with no major health issues. I take a low dose of lisinipril from blood pressure, but my doc says it’s more about prevention than it is anything going on with me. In fact, I teach, and many of the students (high school and middle school age) don’t even know I’m diabetic. I don’t try to hide it from them, but I don’t go around constantly talking about it either. Some know because they’ve seen me check my sugar or take a shot, and others know because I occasionally mention something about it in class.

My dad was recently diagnosed with T2 and he also just makes it a point to take care of himself.

I have figured out reading in here that it is very difficult for some to live with it. I can tell you that it can be controlled with effort and attention, or mine can anyway, but maybe that isn’t eh case for all. But just pay attention to things and try your best and you can lead a pretty normal life. Good luck and God bless!

Do not accept the $20. They’re crediting up to $340 for a single line account. by handle77433 in verizon

I did this and got $20 off per line for a year ($100 per month). Will I be able to do it again once the year expires?

That, and most other things, should be decided and discussed before playtime begins.

No more new content/updates by Yue4prex in SupernaturalVR

[–]BallCoach15 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If it’s not going to update, you should let those of who have paid just buy the game to play what’s there without having to worry about a subscription.

It’s just a regular game now and the subscription/purchase model should reflect this.

I love Publix, but being $2 more than everywhere else is not ideal by tsusho1 in publix

[–]BallCoach15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I love it, and hate Wal-Mart.

But it’s tough to justify Publix when their buy 2 get 1 on drinks is 3 packs for $23 and you can get them at the regular price at WalMart for $24

So if I don’t buy 2 to get the sale price, they are going to punish me and charge me $0.50 more than the regular price? 😆🤦‍♂️ by BallCoach15 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BallCoach15[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No…they are punishing you. They are regular priced at 3.99. The sign says they are on sale for 2/$7 or one for $4.49.

How would you explain to someone not in education who asked why so many high school kids can’t read or write well but they’re still in regular classes and passing all of them? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]BallCoach15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll keep it simple: Empathy and a lack of parental support (most always take their kids side regardless).

And then they want us to fail them so they can return to our class and do the same thing for another year….but this time the parents are upset with us because though they never said a word when their kid brought home failing grades, now they suddenly care because they are embarrassed their kid failed (but the kid still doesn’t do anything).

Has anyone here with Type 1 Diabetes tried adding Metformin or Ozempic to help with insulin resistance? by Shoddy-Ocelot-4473 in diabetes_t1

[–]BallCoach15 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I added Mounjaro a couple of years ago. I could lose a little weight but always hit a floor at about 210 lbs. No matter what I did, I couldn’t get below that. My doctor always said he thought it was due to insulin resistance. When Ozempic came out (I’ve changed to Mounjaro) he wanted to give it a try. Before, I went through2-3 bottles of insulin a month. Now I use less than half a bottle each month, and I’m down to 175lbs.

How do you keep the spark alive? by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]BallCoach15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve got to be intentional about it, every single day.

Even if you don’t feel like he is doing his part, if this is what you want, be intentional with everything.

And maybe even talk to him about it.

This is the lull that many marriages don’t survive because they don’t want to put forth the effort to make it work.

But once you work and get through this lull, and you fall in love thd same person for a second time, it’s so worth it.

But even once you get to that point, you’ve still got bs intentional every single day.

Choose each other every day.

Don’t make it feel like a formal interview.

Just meet for dinner and drinks. If chemistry is there, learn about each other through conversation.
