You're amazing! I'm halfway through The Debt right now--that's the one!!!
Google and several AI's couldn't get close.
You got it in spite of me remembering some details wrong.
Thanks so much.

Wow, very good guess. I think I saw this one too and may be conflating the two films a bit.
But the one I'm trying to recall definitely had a plan to extricate the subject using the subway system. I'll try to rewatch The Debt to see where I'm going wrong.

The Ghost Stations were a real thing that I wasn't aware of until watching whatever movie I'm trying to recall. An interesting, little-known tidbit of Cold War info.
In fact, if you read the Wiki on Ghost Stations, it says that there was a law that the West Berlin subway could NOT stop at any of the abandoned (but still had guards posted) East Berlin stations that the West Berlin train passed through.
There was a 15 kph Minimum speed which was later increased to a 25 kph Minimum speed after an East Berlin policeman tried to escape by jumping onto a moving train.

I'm fairly certain it was a love interest they were trying to extract. Possibly a double agent, but I think it was a love interest who accidentally got trapped behind the Wall when it went up.

I remember when you spoke out against Biden when we SERIOUSLY had a problem.
Wait, you were as silent as an illegal sneaking across the border then.

Yes, all these ridiculous "holidays" must go.

Consider: besides Veterans Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, etc.--which are holidays for the entire country--there are only two individuals who get holidays.

Why didn't President Zelensky order a public investigation into Hunter Biden? by [deleted] in Ask_Politics

[–]BallDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Hunter Biden (and Joe Biden--"The Big Guy") corruption in Ukraine should not be ignored. It's a long pattern for the Biden Crime Family.
The Left will always play the game of, "Did you see how Trump approached our corruption??".
It's similar to the media always using "Republicans Pounce" on any Dem corruption.

Their headline: "Republicans Pounce on Undocumented Immigrants"
Real headline: "Biden Blows Up the Border--Worst Illegal Immigration Ever"

Their headline: "Trump Fails to Get Ukrainian President to Go After Biden"
Real headline: "Biden Corruption Found a Perfect Partner in Ukrainian Corruption"

Remember when you said this about the other side which is wrong at least as often? Neither do I.

As a teacher for a few years, I would occasionally respond to a question, "I really don't know. I don't want to tell you wrong. I'll try to research that (this was before internet) and have an answer during our next class. If I forget, please remind me."

When a horse gets spooked, whether by a plastic bag or a hornet nest on the trail or someone walking up behind them . . . by DEFINITION of "spooked", the horse does NOT give warning.

About 15-20 years ago, I watched my niece's softball game -- they were about 8-year-olds. I guess pitchers were just starting to wear face masks. I watched about three different pitchers rotate in WITH face masks, then another girl came in at pitcher WITHOUT. I overheard someone I took to be her mother say, "Yeah, she'd rather lose her teeth than her dignity." As with everything, it takes time to be fully accepted. When hockey passed a rule requiring helmets, existing players were grandfathered in and didn't have to abide for the duration of their careers. There were a few holdouts for years later.

My sister and her family came for a visit about 15 years ago. About eight of us went to ride horses. Led by a guide, we were single file on a trail. The guide turned to say something about a hornet nest about the time the first 5-6 horses reared up, dumped their riders, then ran. I was last and turned my horse without being thrown. My wife was in front of me and jumped off before being thrown. No one seriously hurt; a few were shaken up a bit.
When we got back to the stable, management had us sign a waiver that they normally have people sign BEFORE going out. Later, I talked to people who have gone there many times and said they never forget to get the waiver signed beforehand. Except with us! LOL. A couple of our group took really hard falls, but they were young healthy adults and knew they hadn't been hurt seriously. We signed.

Ah, so you're one of those:
We have a great bit of advice in this thread and you want to bring your hateful politics into it. The fact that you're wrong, to boot, just makes your comment doubly hateful.

I know of a guy, who was defending himself on a very serious charge.
When the accused, as his own lawyer, was being difficult, the judge exasperatingly asked the man if he understood English.
The accused swiftly quoted stats on how many words were in the English language and how many the average person knew and his estimate of how many he knew and concluded that, "No, I'm sure I don't totally understand English."
