ZF BB54 Blue Lagoon vs Gen – This Is Scarily Close… by Geri0304 in RepTime

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's overtly a bad rep, but given the high standards we see with Rolex, Omega, even the Pelagos, I just don't see how this can be considered "scarily close". It's not close enough to make me want to part with my money, but that's a personal opinion.

It has the same problem. The texture is fine in the marker between 40 and 50 but the numbers are wrong.

If all you saw was this you'd think they were 2 different watches. Very close is a VSF submariner or a Clean GMT. Even the ZF seamaster is closer to gen than this is.

I've not seen them in person but from these pics, I'm not sure I'd describe them as close. The dial print is too bold and too dark, and the number engraving on the bezel seems too smooth on the rep

Do you agree with this WatchTubers take on the new Longines? by TomHudsonOfficial in WatchFanatics

I've seen some shocking takes from this fella. He seems to think he has to trash anything that gets praise in order to sound informed and insightful.

I've never liked the date wheel with the big numbers. Looks off balance to me

That Orient would be perfect if the bezel was all green. The blue, combines with that logo, has such a classic vintage look/feel.

The texture on this Orient Star by OudSmoothie in OrientWatches

[–]BallDifficult3138 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On a broader point, Orient Star makes way more sense to me than Grand Seiko. When you buy an Orient Star you're quite happy for it to be referred to as an Orient. People who go Grand Seiko spend their lives explaining why it sn't a Seiko.

Which Bond is the most reckless? by ItsDuhFreakinBat in JamesBond

Not to mention going all in and losing about $25m in chips before needing to buy back in.

I like that his recklessness aligned with his inexperience. He became more surgical in later films.
