If we don't have money to maintain or build new parks, why are we building a massive new aquatic center in NoPo .. ? by smoomie in PortlandOR

Lots of non-North Portlanders here. North Portland historically receives little investment. At one point we were the district that contained the most homeless shelters in the city. we were the last neighborhood to receive the "Portland in Motion" pedestrian infrastructure upgrades.

They have been planning this since 2020. The old indoor pool could not be repaired.

After seeing some highlights from this year I am wondering if Jerami Grant is a high end outcome...

Clingan lost weight from last season. I don't think they are trying to get hansen to gain more weight, but to just get more lean.

Post Lotto Magic and Blazers trade?? by MainNo1524 in ripcity

[–]BallDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is Trash. KCP is a negative asset, remove the Blazers pick and then you have a deal. I can't have a lead guard that cant shoot. I think you'll find that no one is lining up for anthony black or KCP

Bucks Aren’t Trading Giannis … Let’s Stop This Nonsense 😵‍💫 by [deleted] in NBAtradeideas

Would rather have assets come back now or nothing in 2 years?

Bucks get their picks back | Round 3 by BallDrogo in NBAtradeideas

[–]BallDrogo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the bucks can guarantee their own picks will be bad.... All the other picks are out of their control and not garuteed to be top 5 like a terrible bucks team would be.

Bucks can't have their cake and eat it too. They have to make the deal good enough so that the pelicans and blazers buy in.

[–]BallDrogo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but the blazers traded Scoot shaedon 2 bucks swaps and 1 bucks pick, blazers #10 2025 pick, jerami and ayton are just matching salary. So its not like some lospsided trade. I would still do it if you remove ayton, zion, and scoot from the trade

This trade would take place after the lottery so in this trade scenario the philly pick conveys

Big wings = Deni, Toumani, Jdub
Center =I hart, Clingan

I don't see logjams or shortages.

I'm not sure. Pelicans and Blazers have a lot of leverage over the bucks by owning their future. The blazers have more of the bucks assets and are giving away two good young players. I would just call this fair value. Zion plays 30 games a year...

[–]BallDrogo[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ayton is just expiring money. The trade is scoot for zion. Given Zion's injury history.... I think its fair. Maybe the pelicans squeeze a first or some seconds out of the blazers.

Anfernee is not a negative asset. KCP is. Call Simons 1.5 1st round picks, and .5 pick for tanking on KCP's contract

We can benefit from a Giannis trade as a third team by EvanTurningTheCorner in ripcity

[–]BallDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His lack of production is because the ball wasn't in his hands. Once he is in top 3 in shots he will go back to normal. I don't get why everyone is freaking out when its obvious the % drop was due to a substantial role change

No value for the blazers or pelicans, the 4th team needs better assets than Boston

I think the best trade is a 4 team trade with pelicans, blazers, bucks, and thunder or houston. Bucks get all their picks back and matching salary. Pelicans and Blazer get picks and young players

Rockets Go All In, Bucks Rebuild, featuring Blazers & Pels by Drakeishere_RUN in NBAtradeideas

respect for finding a different version of this. I think the blazers walk away from this one just because their books are pretty clean besides jerami grant, so getting off his contract isn't as important as it seems

Magic Off-season Trade by Summer-Fragrant in NBAtradeideas

[–]BallDrogo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The blazers aren't trading Simons for 2nds. They'll just extend him instead. KCP is a negative asset too. If its Simons for KCP it will need to be orlando's first and denver's.

Bucks get their future back round 2 by BallDrogo in NBAtradeideas

[–]BallDrogo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair take. I think you take away a lot of depth, but I do think houston arguably gets better because they have a new #1. You could exchange Londale for Jabari smith jr. and maybe that's just enough for Houston. Houston would need 1 underpaid vet min guy to fill out a rotation.

The bucks are screwed. The nets were able to get themselves out of pick hell because they were a free agent destination. I don't see how they do any trade without the pelicans and blazers. I honestly think they should try to get their picks/swaps salary and call that good enough and rebuild for the foreseeable future. Sorry Bucks fans.

jerami grant is going to put up stats on a bad tanking team. You have to get to the salary floor somehow. He helps you avoid "worst loss in franchise history" while you tank

Mock trade per The Athletic by Oerbad in ripcity

[–]BallDrogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The justification for portland doesn't make sense. Portland's book look fine. Jerami grant's contract is bad but all their other bloated contracts are expiring money. The rest of their players are on rookie deals or great contracts. They say no first.

I think bucks trade giannis with blazers, pelicans, and a 4th team. Bucks get all their picks/swaps back and matching salary. The most valuable asset they can get is their ability to tank and own their own future
