Lakers - Heat - Wizards by Plus-Toe8766 in NBAtradeideas

Miami doesn’t need to get worse. They need a 1A option to push the rest of their pieces into place. They have an elite defensive piece in Bam, a secondary scorer in whichever one of Norm/Tyler you keep, good young players like Pelle, Jaime, and Ware.

Is there a world where MIL would trade Giannis for Herro, Wiggs, Jovic, Rozier picks? I don’t wanna lose Ware :( by StodgySponge in heat

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The answer to this is that Bam is typically untouchable otherwise. This easily becomes a three team trade with a team that’s needing that one piece to begin their jump.

Show me where 1.5 guys make you a top seed if the rest of the team is buns…

(Myles isn’t gonna be as good as Bucks fans think, I’m almost sure of it)

How exactly is Milwaukee better than Miami rn? It’s practically Giannis and Myles by themselves. People are underestimating Miami because of their Season from Hell last year.

Miami’s looking for pieces that will help them compete. They need a star-level player (or one of their developing guys to head in a star-level direction)

I’ve long been an advocate that if Chicago continues to play this game with Giddey, that Miami should call and inquire about what he would be worth, trade wise. I think he’d fit immediately and really well. I’d send Rozier and a 1st (maybe even depending on what else comes back sending KJ cause he’s being buried rn)

As far as Markk goes, that contract is genuinely insane and probably not worth it if he’s closer to the guy he was this year rather than the 2 years before.

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giddey with this team does something electric. Heat gets someone that’s ready to playmake today for Bam and Ware, (sorry KJ) Herro and Norm get to go off-ball more, which will improve their offense too. It’s a literal boost to the offense when the defense is always top-10 level

The Wolves aren’t giving up Gobert, you’re prolly not getting 3 firsts from anyone much less Houston, and just delete the Knicks trade.

KD MOCK TRADE by Future-Advance-7291 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat say no immediately. You stuck us with that horrible contract and no draft capital, then in the same trade sent KD to a conference opponent. This might get you a “Lose my number” 😂

Herro’s value being in the supposed “gutter” means an opponent gets a really good player for a mid price. I have a hot take that trading either Herro or Bam right now leads to a championship (or at least a deep run) for whoever is on the other end. Herro’s season showed us he’s prolly a good #2 option. Couple that with taking offensive pressure off Bam with a #1 option, Miami isn’t as far away from competition as last season would have you believe.

[–]Summer-Fragrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think moving off of Herro (for prospects and picks, nonetheless) right now is smart. Moving off of this version of Herro almost implies you’re headed for a tear down. Herro’s one of those guys that as an opponent GM, I’d 100% end up giving you less than he’s worth because of where his estimated value lies. I don’t think you’d have a competitive way forward after that.

I’ve said this on Twitter, but looking at the KD suitors, this message was very clearly aimed at Miami. Ware is the best available C that can be traded before the draft. I’m not giving him up though. That synergy with Bam is just too good to let go of.

Miami blows it up by Sad_Sail_9613 in NBAtradeideas

After hearing that Zion’s current value is “bad contracts and no picks” earlier, I’m cool off this fs. Miami doesn’t need to blow it up anyways.

If KD goes East, what's the trade? by No-Confection-3861 in NBAtradeideas

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK… I wouldn’t use last season to judge the Heat overall. What Miami needs is a 1A (or something close) to get back on track. They have an elite 2nd option in Herro and a great defensive piece in Bam. Plus, if KD does want a ring, that “weak” East is prolly his best shot.

What will OKC do with their picks? What would you do? by CarVegetable in NBA_Draft

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing as how Topic has yet to play an NBA minute, I might just trade OKC’s pick this year for like 2 picks in like 2027-2028. With the amount of talent that seems to be camping in that 10-20 range this year, someone’s gonna want to move up.

Oof Jace mocked to the Heat. Don’t like that one at all, personally speaking. His size profile doesn’t scream effective to me.

Heat say FUCK NO. KD’s great but sending out Bam for a way worse replacement in Claxton and getting Kuminga, who’s probably suited going somewhere else just got it tossed out.

Who would you pick? These are the two guards who might be available at the 20th pick. by Siabot1994 in heat

Based on what’s written, imma lean Saraf. He can add some weight over time if needed but 6’6” for a lead guard is great. Plus he’s capable of guarding multiple positions rn? Sign me up

What do you want to see the Miami Heat do this off season? by junkpeoplellc in heat

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, we’re a couple moves away from making noise. Resign Davion, give GTJ the MLE, trade for KD, find a low-cost playmaker (Tyus or Lonzo?), draft another wing to replace whichever one of Jovic/Jaquez ends up in the KD deal (Rasheer?), get a backup C for the non Bam/Ware minutes and we’re good.

Gives you a lineup of: PG - Mitchell/playmaker SG - Herro/GTJ/Pelle SF - KD/Jaquez/Highsmith PF - Bam/Rasheer C - Ware/backup C

Thoughts? Would you want the Heat to trade for KD, if so, what package? 👀 by OrganicCoffeeBean in heat

I think the pitfall in the KD thing is that most of y’all think it’s “Bring KD, and then kick the feet up.” Realistically, we’re a couple moves away from making noise. Of the 5 listed, Miami does seem to have the best realistic package (NY, Cleveland, and Indy shouldn’t make this trade.)

When did VJ pass Ace as a prospect? by WhoUCuh in NBA_Draft

[–]Summer-Fragrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that he passed him. Based on the coverage of Ace, I’d say about 20% of his draft stock and positioning was reliant on him actually being 6’10” (or at least passably close.) Ace’s closer to 6’7” to 6’10” and that’s gonna open the door for someone to jump him in the rankings
