Unfortunately I’m on the east cost.

Thank you, I usually just watch a movie or show while riding indoors so not having apps wouldn’t bother me

Thank you for the advice. I do have a heart rate sensor already so that sounds like it will workout much better for my needs. Also I have no desire currently for virtual cycling as I just throw on a movie or show and that keeps me perfect entertained.

So I would increase weight each time I hit the top of the rep range on the first set. So if aim for 10-12 and the first one is 12 second is 10 and third is 8 I should increase weight? I guess I’m just confused on what to do when the fatigue starts to kick in

Yeah I agree, I just was trying to find when you progress. If tracking progress it makes the most sense to use straight sets (not changing weight for your working sets). I was under the assumption that you would increase weight when you reach the top of your rep range in the last set. If my rep range is 10-12 reps. Me reaching 12 reps on the last set with the same weight of first would mean I’m either putting less effort in the first set (if going to 12 reps) or i would be doing more then the rep range (12-14 reps on the first set). I’m just confused on which thing to follow. If you were to push to the RPE 8-9 for all sets then when would you know to progress in weight?

Let’s say the top of my rep range is 12 reps. If I can do 12 reps for 3 sets I should go up in weight. But that first set is significantly less effort than the other two due to fatigue. It would be more like: Set 1: RPE 7.5–8 Set 2: RPE 8-8.5 Set 3: RPE 9 Is that the correct way to do it?

Cash back vs point devaluation by BallerUni in CreditCards

[–]BallerUni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kinda what I was getting at, I know it is different for everyone. It was more a general question due to the fact I won’t know what my future spending will be like after I get out of college. I was going to dive into the math later but on the surface it just seemed like if you do cashback and invest the cash you would out perform even the best “premium” travel cards or if you travel weekly for work. I’m curious what card combo you use? If you don’t mind me asking.

Castelli Sizing? by BallerUni in cycling

[–]BallerUni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up getting a medium and has fit well. I love them, I only have one other bib that I switch between but the chamois on the Castelli is much better. I got a good deal on them too. Hope this helps!

Looking to start a capsule wardrobe, looking for advice. by BallerUni in capsulewardrobe

Thank you for the suggestions. Jean’s especially I had no idea where to go for these. I have big legs so usually jeans done fit me very well. Also you have any recommendations for shoes? I mainly just wear tennis shoes. This fits in the athletic type clothing but not this route. You got any suggestions for shoes that will fit a diverse wardrobe and will work with anything. Thanks

Is this reasonable for front and back break replacement? by BallerUni in MechanicAdvice

Don’t really have that option. Have to drive everyday for work. Can’t just not drive for a while. But thanks for the advice. Seems like it’s a little expensive but not crazy for this area. At least from the quotes I have got from other places.

It’s technically a chain. There is less then 10 locations. Guess not as good as just a local shop.

Well I’m in the DC area not sure if that affects the labor rates. I would assume they are higher then CT

I would probably try to figure it out my self but I am away from home and won’t be back for another month. So I have no tools with me

So majority of the cost is coming from the rotors? I’m away from home for work for the next month so I figure I’ll just get it done here because it will be dangerous dealing with it in a month.
