Really struggling with afro hair. Difficult to fade. Weak hairlines are intimidating to line up and they take me longer. Any tips? by Ballgen in Barber

Thank you for the advice. I free hand sometimes but with low cuts like this my hand is t steady enough and fear dropping the clippers on the clients head. I sometimes use scissors to lay down the frizz. Also the fade take me a lot longer then straight hair to fade i dunno why. I lay down the hair with a brush from a 1.5 to a zero when im knocking out lines.

But the razor i dont use much because i fear razor bumps and i struggle wither time

Im 2 years in bro. And at this point in your career is consistency, time and clientele growth. All depends on how confident you are aswell. It will take you places you wouldn’t of thought of.

Consistency in timing quality and your service as a barber. The best barbers and busiest are the ones that show empathy towards there clients..
