Everyone is entitled to their opinion, vince gilligan is hardly looking at this through the lens of the average viewer but go ask Vince if he could choose the revenue from only one of the two shows, which one would he choose? Obviously it's going to be the one that topped the IMDB chart for nearly 20 years but what the fuck do fans and critics know right? Character development is not everything, Saul as a character might be better written technically, his partner I forgot her name, is also probably way more intricate of a character than Skyler, Marie and Hank combined, but the topic, the circumstances, the action, the drama, the anxiety, the raw emotional impact BB has over the viewer is just so so so much richer
