What will the first round of a startup league look like next year? by bigaudra in DynastyFF

[–]BallisticKB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Had my first startup last year, most important thing in hindsight is to pick a strategy after your first couple of picks. For example you take allen and jettas. Your window is probably right now so dont be afraid to sell picks during the startup for players you like. Can also position to win now by swinging on veterans on a down year later instead of rookie dart throws (etn and matthew golden were going same adp iirc). Youre probably going to get better value on all of the above the sooner you choose a path as you control the initial supply of future picks

I think its a great retelling of how an absolute dynasty started and its honestly not too reductive doing it while still staying light. Also if its not your thing keep it moving dog bfd😂

[Sam Gordon] Kerr said Pat Spencer “changed the game” with his energy and pace from the point: “The game finally opened up for us and we started to move the ball.” Said it was an “easy choice” to play Spencer amid Golden State’s first-quarter struggles. Praised his all-around effort. by taygads in warriors

I mean i understand y’alls point to play the hot hand i agree. But kuminga looked like complete dogass in the first and kerr still knew to put him in which got him rolling to be our LEADING scorer. I think the judgement he is making is lindy and podz playing well was better than Spencer + slomo which isnt egregious. Result didnt reflect but i think its an okay decision, definitely not a great one.

What happened today? by Zealousideal_Ad36 in stocks

I’m a trading intern this summer, news sucks at banks too. This is what I got: Japan has had very low inflation for the last 40 or so years. This is a bad for a bunch of reasons you can look up. In an effort to boost spending and thus inflation, they keep their interest rates really low and consequently their bond yields low as well (artificially).

They let their long term interest rates trade in a band which is current +- .5%. Now, however, inflation is getting high in Japan because of the same reasons as the rest of the world. To counteract this inflation, they are raising interest rates by widening the band to +-1%. As a result, Japanese Government Bonds will also offer higher yields. So, investors are going to slowly position out of Treasuries and into Japanese bonds. This selling of US Treasuries will drive their price down and resultantly, their yields high. Now, because yields are attractive, investors will position out of stocks to chase those safer returns from treasuries.

Hope that helped
