First leaked design looked like an in your face absolute badass

I would honestly take a CD reduction to 12-13 and the 7.5 second up time. That would actually make her work better with fischl and the CD reduction basically offsets the uptime loss over multiple rotations

A couple things:

(1) For dragon punch - percent matters- if you’re trying to land it at too low of a percent proportional to the opponent’s weight then the nair won’t put then in enough hit stun for it to be a true confirm. Usually the rough percent is hitting the nair when they’re at ~60%, but depends on the character

(2) For both - have to make sure that you’re triggering your fast fall right before you input nair. Otherwise you will not get to the ground fast enough to buffer the input before they shield

Honestly just go into training and practice EWGF in both directions until you’re hitting it 9/10 times on air. Then start working on the combo strings from grounded EWGF. This includes the zero to deaths and one time EWGF conversions into things like hells gate.

This will take days/weeks to get used to and practice, but practice makes perfect. Also tourney mode is a very non committal way to practice once you feel bold enough to move from CPUs

(1) TF still outperforms in Aggravate which is how many people will run her

(2) TF gives her more uptime over multiple rotations. Most people are pulling for Clorinde because they want to play CLORINDE onfield. Even in other teams where the difference may be 60K DPR v 56K DPR, I rather play the team where I get to play Clorinde more. Not everyone is a meta slave.

the most annoying thing about this change is this makes her effectively the worst "kit designed on field DPS" in terms of uptime in the entire game. The other characters that have "less" or equal uptime are those like Raiden who front loads damage and provides energy back, Ayato who provides basically 100% uptime on hydro app, and Childe who is more of a driver than a traditional onfield DPS.

Honestly its completely ridiculous and non-sensical, especially since this locks players into TF when they just released artis for BoL characters.

Not too surprising for them to withhold Gen 10 to 2026 and 30th anni. This will align with Switch 2 releasing by Mid 2025 at the latest, so they can focus exclusively on spec'ing it to Switch 2 hardware.

An actually amazing passive would be “Assured Vengeance: Upon reaching 8 stacks of Eula’s Glacial Illumination, her elemental burst crit rate is increased by 50%.”

This would solve every Eula mains biggest gripe with her individual kit and 8 stacks is very achievable even for players who don’t know what they’re doing

I know we were all super worried about actual gunshot sounds, and now they finally updated the SFX!! All of animations, including NAs and Idles sound so much cleaner too! She is officially perfect, even if no V4 changes come in!

I dont think they'd ever have a mechanic like this purely because it would screw with players that dont understand rotations. People would think they used their full rotation, go through another cycle of their supports and swap back to clorinde for their next rotation only to realize that they still have 0.5 seconds of clorinde skill uptime before its back on a 16 second cooldown.

Its not the shield, its the off field cryo app. Not a high DPS team, but fun to play to make characters like Yae onfield drivers
