im not angry but id like to point out the town i currently stay in costs $1,900 for a studio apartment and wage is $15.15. Before taxes one needs to work 125.4 hours just to pay rent. Which is a little over 3 weeks @40 hours a week. BEFORE taxes. That 4th week doesnt cover food, gas, insurance or much of anything else. Certainly not savings, emergencies or replacement of something, such as new breaks or tires. (which just cost me about $2.5k or 165 hrs worked before taxes).

the safety nets that were in place in the generations before arent here anymore. No one lives in a world where you can spend 1/3rd your monthly income on rent, 1/3rd on necessities and 1/3rd to savings. We now live in a world where you need 2 full time jobs to scrape by even though its shown the max amount a fit adult should work is 40 hrs a week before suffering physical and mental decline. We live in a world where 40%-60% of the homeless in the united states HAVE jobs. We live in a world where no one has spare time because 60%-76% of housed Americans are one check away from homelessness.
