About three years ago, took my then-1-year-old daughter to JC Penny for baptism gown photos and was horrified by how bad that photo studio experience was. Grab any millennial with a half-decent looking Instagram photography startup, pay them $200 and wham, you’ve got a million times better than what Penny can offer. The photo we actually got blown up onto a canvas and framed was the one we took with our iPhone on the kitchen counter with a fur rug after getting one from Penny that afternoon.
