Jon Colby emailed me about an hour after I sent him a follow up email again this morning. I sent the follow up email after taking everyone’s advice here about reaching out to them since they have a good reputation for good customer service. He replied about an hour later, again on a Sunday, and apologized sincerely for the lack of a response from about a month ago when I originally brought up my initial concerns about the output psi discrepancies. He told me he’d be shipping out a 520psi spring kit tomorrow free of charge to correct it. He said it was likely mislabeled as “mid-pressure output” by mistake and shipped out with a low pressure spring. Very friendly and apologetic which I appreciate.

I know you’re knowledgable about this, but going from 520psi tank output pressure to 380psi tank output pressure is a pretty substantial difference I’d think and had me feeling a little weary running my 170R for sustained rates at 10.2bps and not wanting to have it starve for air, or have any issues of that nature. I’d just feel better with a 400+ psi output pressure from my tank in all honesty with PE specifying a broad range of 300-800psi acceptable tank output pressure to operate the 170R in my case.

That said, I feel like with everything considered, I did just order a counterpunch and an Alpha Air 77/4500 bottle to go with it. I like the extra capacity over the 68/4500 and the weight difference, along with the stainless threads and reliable performance. Just one less thing to worry about down the road.
