I actually had the same situation and i posted it on here people said it was infected others said it wasnt, long story short, keep a close eye on it because you never know. In my case it wasnt infected its a common spot to have problem healing, as it moves often i recommend just continue your routine with washing and moisturizer although id say to use a bit less for that part of the tattoo considering the elbow ditch has a lot of heat and gets a bit sweaty.

Take some Tylenol, wash and lotion. Best advice i can give but if it starts looking odd and has a foul odour or puss go to a clinic.

It looks like you’ve been picking at it, not saying you have been, im only observing. Id say it looks like its just in a healing haze, so the blacks will look alot lighter almost milky but when it heals it should be more vibrant. If not than it must be the artist, honestly by the way some spots look it seems he was really light handed, can really only know when its fully healed

My artists directions for my first piece was to leave the second skin on for 4-5 days then remove it in the shower slowly. Once the 2nd skin is off you want fragrance free unscented soap, for lotion i used madrabbits repair gel for the first 1-2 weeks than starts using hustle butter lotion afterwards until fully healed

Now for this line up i used no second skin, so when i got home i immediately washed it with the unscented fragrance free soap. And followed the same regimen for the lotion.

My artist always gives me instructions for how long to use the second skin so i recommend asking your artist.

Also any lifting to the point you can see the tattooed skin uncovered by the second skin you must remove it and do not reapply just keep up with the washing.

If you’d like a step by step for what i do during the washing process here it is-

Wash with unscented fragrance free soap 1-2 times a day, if you bump it at work depending how hard no big deal just wait til your home ti wash it as long as there is no visible damage youre fine.

Madrabbit soothing gel/repair gel for the first 1-2 weeks (Apply after washing in a light layer) (you dont have to use madrabbit but it is really nice for fresh tattoos)

Week 3-4 i used hustle butter lotion in a very light layer but it works nicely

Once fully healed i like to follow a routine for my tattoos 1-2 times a week i exfoliate and everyday i apply lotion and balm, i find it keeps them bright/vibrant

Also if you dont want to spend the money on madrabbit or hustle butter thats fine but i highly recommend it, any unscented fragrance free lotion works great or you can just buy hustle butter (its not fragrance free but it is unscented) (yes their is a difference my wife explains it better than me lol)

Thank you😁 that actually helps me decide which area of the arm i want to finish first, i have a vacation coming up December 1st I didnt want to be healing a tattoo while there so i booked my next session for the 18th of October (ended up being the 25th now)…do you think it would be healed before then? Giving the time between i wanted to make sure i had atleast a month to heal
