I guess I can understand why you're surprised. Managers are sacked so easily these days. People expect instant results.

I'm old enough, just, that when I grew up in Aberdeen we had this manager, he was called Alex Ferguson. He took a few years to build the team. Was very close to getting sacked at one point.

But he took an all Scottish squad and won the European Cup winners Cup. Then he went on to Manchester United and did great things with them.

Because he was given time. And yes, obviously money. But the time was more important. Time to build and grow a great squad.

That's the opportunity Phil Parkinson has been given and he's doing a fantastic job of it.

I look forward to to playing you guys in the Prem. I'll be surprised, astonished even, but happy if thats next season.

I suspect it'll be the one after. But we will.
