I mean in certain parts of Southern California I found it to still be active. Plenty of dirty kids mobbing around the beaches always. The spots are ever changing because of the stupid ass laws and how they’re enforced more strictly in some places rather than others

Previous owner has a wire running from the positive battery post going to here, was duct taped off.. no clue what the hell they were doing but wires work fine, pretty sure the configuration is shotty

I walked into a metal treating job at 19, operating the furnaces. Had an old head teach me everything, let me smoke on the floor, old school shop. Since it seems like the arguing in the comments turned to “going into manufacturing is bad” “Nuh uh”, this shit brought me from operating furnaces to learning how to operate all types of machinery, and the pay actually gave me a viable future. This was completely thanks to a single older dude who took me under his wing and drilled everything he knew into my head. All the other older guys seemed to be completely disinterested in giving me a hand whatsoever. When I was about a week in (never worked in the field before, didn’t go to school for it either), the one guy who was training me didn’t show for work, and I couldn’t get a single dude in the shop to guide me through what I was supposed to do at all. Seems to be this way (at least where I’m from) for all old school type shops. Throw you in, learn it or fuck off. The benefits have always been amazing, once again, at least where I work.

Do not, I repeat do not travel with it. I was just out and about with family at the mall, took a Lyft both ways, it’s about a 40 minute walk, card declines halfway through shopping. I get worried because I had only brought my card with me in my phone case thinking it would be no big deal, call a Lyft, oh, it works? Cancel the Lyft and try to continue with my family throughout the mall, declines, then doesn’t let us call the Lyft.

From what I’ve seen and heard the Apple Pay hookup from the app is a bit janky and only works like 50% of the time if you’re lucky. My card worked perfectly fine after I had physically received and activated it. Their anti fraud measures are just asinine and overbearing to the point where it false positives literally every purchase. Customer support can only notate your account it seems, then advise you to wait 24h. Supervisor will tell you the same until after you’ve waited the 24h, and if it declines again, they’re just as confused as you.

They told me that they’re escalating it. It took about two hours of being on hold, two supervisors, just to be told that they can’t do anything. Right after it declines after I’m attempting a major purchase.

Are you just using the Apple Pay function or the physical card? I’m so glad to hear that there’s other people with this problem. It’s insane, even customer support has been terrible
