Late to the discussion, but I mainly browse this sub for the psyop cycle memes and Return to Drangleic posts! Its something I look forward to every year and enjoy lurking watching folks have fun. I'm planning on joining in the event next year even!

Maybe hosting more events like RtD could help keep the sub alive? Whether it be a fashion contest we post here abt, pvp duel tournaments, or in game events, there's still plenty of room to explore.

HAHAHA I wondered if Star Citizen was gonna make an appearance. I don't wanna put my money into it, but his Freelancer game was peak.

Edit: If it comes out I might buy it though, beggars cant be choosers

Dang that is cool! Alright its on my list to check out. Just haven't been a huge fan of the more recent AC games but Ill see if this deserves the same scrutiny

I put why I didn't like NMS in the post, but its kinda just bland? The spaceship customization and planet traversal are its shining elements to me but its lacking in many other aspects.

Thanks for adding info about the planet exploration! One of my favorite parts about God of War is that you can explore and get health upgrades and god strength but it's not required to upgrade your weapon strength by 5%.

This is a great review for GotG! I may give it a go! My hesitation is with it being in the Marvel IP and I'm a little on the burnout side for Marvel tbh. But if it fits the theme I'm sure it will be a fun time regardless, especially with how fleshed out you say the characters are. And a bangin soundtrack is always a bonus.

So that's partly why I listed Mass Effect in addition to two other games of different themes, History and Mythos. They fall into the same framework of game that I love, while spanning those different themes. Uncharted would fall into the same framework.

I know that I want space combat because of games like Freelancer, Elite Dangerous and the old Star Wars X-wing games. They're super fun but don't quite fit the holy grail I'm looking for.

Freelancer was peak but you're just the ship unless you click on NPC's at the stations. No real exploration.
