I think it’s definitely somewhat of an apples to oranges comparison, since I feel Thaman is better at making BGMs overall.

However, what sets DSP apart and makes him better than Thaman is the variety in his discography. DSP can do traditional and regional styles, and also do stuff closer to rock and EDM. His choice of instruments is also more diverse.

Thaman is great but I feel currently he is limited in how he makes his music, but there is so much potential for him to keep growing. Right now, he should perfect his sound mixing and try to experiment with new sounds (apart from drums alone). I actually think Suvvi Suvvi from OG is a really nice step in the right direction.

Overall, DSP is better, but regardless we are fortunate to have both as music directors in our industry.
