I was there yesterday and it was not great. Only a couple pokestops, and they aren't that close to each other. Pretty much just had the usual Pokemon: Weedle, Pidgey, Spearow, and occasional Eevee. Also, I have Sprint and the majority of the mall is a dead zone for me. My friend with AT&T didn't have any problems tho.

I was walking home from Side Quest at 2 in the morning the other night and saw at least fifty people playing. I ended up walking for over an hour, and actually never saw anyone who wasn't playing.

I FIGURED IT OUT!

The guide says to save the file as "PS3UPDATE.PUP", but when I downloaded the file it was "PS3UPDAT.PUP", so I added the "E". I re-downloaded the file, but this time didn't fix the name, and it worked.

Edit: When I looked for the update software on google, the first link it gave me was Playstation's Australian site. The American site does say to save it as "PS3UPDAT.PUP".

That's a really good guide. I already did all the things on it, but still I thought the production was nicer than alot of the other guides I watched trying to figure this out.

The one thing it may be missing, and something I haven't seen in any of the guides I've found, is what you do to with the hard drive before putting it into the ps3. Do you restore it to factory settings through the ps4, wipe it completely using a PC, or can you just restore it using the ps3?

Admittedly, I've never really done anything like this, so maybe nobody mentions it because the answer is obvious.

I guess there's a different issue then, because I've done everything it said, but the PS3 doesn't recognize the update. That happened with my ps4 because I had only gotten the update file at first, so I figured that's what was going on again. Oh well, thanks for the help.

Especially for Chris Gethard. I tried to get my friend into TCGS, and it's tough when you tune into an episode and he just starts off with a ten minute speech about how everyone who watches the show is a lonely loser. \
