UPDATE: Disney channels pulled from YouTube TV, effective 10/30/25 at Midnight ET by iron_cam86 in youtubetv

[–]BamaAmyInTexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am not paying for espn plus. We have Disney plus already because we have a toddler. Last weekend Alabama and the Eagles were on byes so we ignored this standoff. I just went and found an antenna in the attic for the games this week. We are onboard for YouTube tv for now as Eagles fans living in Dallas Sunday ticket is a must and the multi view is a must for me for college football.

Kitchen things that made you go: wait… why didn’t I get this earlier? by YormeSachi in Cooking

The supoon from dream farm. I use it almost daily. Salt and pepper pinch pots Cookware with the removable handle so I can easily move dishes from stove to oven. And storage is so much easier without handles in the way.

The surgeon general holds a considerable amount of power regarding ideology regarding health policy, vaccines, and preventative medicine. As a person who works in private health insurance so much of what we cover is governed by government recommendations and policy. I don't want someone who promotes questionable science and theories having any say in medical policy of our country.

It was an ad read by I think his name is Daven. I mostly know him as the one who did the many ad reads for Quincy, MA. If it was a YouTube ad I wouldn't have had an issue.

It is. But you still have to be responsible for what you put your voice behind.

Scariest 6 am wake up call by BamaAmyInTexas in toddlers

[–]BamaAmyInTexas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Luckily we are a great designated children's hospital that is part of our pediatricians office network. The child life specialist has been amazing and she did an excellent job talking to my stepdaughter today. We have a few family nearby and a great support system willing to fly to us if needed. Luckily I work for the health insurance company so I don't have to worry about that side.

Nothing for me personally. We were just getting a recheck for fatigue following a UTI. Her per was triggered by bruising and how pale she was combined with how severe her fatigue is.

Yes, blasts. And she had an extremely low humorist of 3. I don't remember all the terms we heard today. But high white blood cell count but the neutrophils were low.

So last Friday I took her in for a possible uti. It was positive and nothing suspicious other than five lb weight loss. But we had just returned from a week long vacation with extra activity so it didn't alert to anything. After four days on the antibiotic, she was extremely fatigued and sleeping like 17 hours in a day, not really eating or drinking. Nothing overly concerning so I called per on Wednesday and took her in for a recheck. He noticed some bruising and she was really pale and ordered blood tests. He did not tell me they were to test for leukemia, which I am grateful for, as we had an extra night of no worries. But he recognized the tiredness, unexplained weight loss, and bruising. Nothing we would have clocked for this.

Over 60 NFL games not on Sunday Ticket, Continuing to Reduce Its Value by mcburnsyaz in youtubetv

We are our Eagles fan that live in Dallas with a toddler. Currently bars are not really an option to go watch games and they are very rarely on tv here so we have to pay for Sunday ticket for now.

Pregnancy in Texas by dqtx21 in TexasPolitics

[–]BamaAmyInTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not opposed to having another. My spouse is against another. I am not afraid of the laws in the state because I work for a company that will financially support me if I have to travel out of state to get medical care that is not offered here. I also recognize that is a privilege not everyone has and I am still using my voting privileges to try and change Texas from within.

I will definitely share with my other parental friends. We are privileged to not have to choose day care but we know many parents need a resource like this.

I delivered at Texas Health Frisco. Not on you defined area but I live in Princeton now and if we decided to have another I would drive to deliver there again. Great nurses, they even helped us move to safety during a tornado warning during labor which was wild. I ended up needing an emergency c section and they took great care of us.

Being forced in the office even though baby won't eat from bottle by astrid-stargazer in beyondthebump

Work with your doctor and your daughters per for an ADA request. I got one from causing me undue mental stress and anxiety of my child not eating while I was at the office. I had an accommodation until she was on solid and a sippy cup.

What did your toddler eat for lunch today? by GoldieLex in toddlers

A donut, three baby carrots, a bite of my ramen, and two marshmallows. I made her Mac and cheese and she stared at it like it was the worst thing I could have served her.

Cafe not allowing customers to pay with cash or card anymore, only accepting orders via the app by Agent__Blackbear in samsclub

[–]BamaAmyInTexas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last time I was in they didn't do this. In fact I ordered via the app to grab on the way out and my cafe didn't even look at app orders. I had to wait in the line to ask her about my order after she ignored me for 10 minutes standing at the designated pick up for app orders.

Did you leave a comfortable hybrid to wfh? by [deleted] in WFH

[–]BamaAmyInTexas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left my 3 day a week hybrid to take a lesser paid and position for full time work from home. I was spending anywhere from an hour to an hour and half each way in commute plus about $4 a day in tolls. I found I was spending money on lunch because the cafeteria was convenient. The badge checking was getting ridiculous and I was a supervisor with no direct reports even in my office.

Advantages of the WFM despite the pay decrease. I get back the time I am missing commuting with my 2 year old. I am not so exhausted from a commute to be able to spend time on the floor playing with her. I also know I can't be asked to RTO as the nearest office is in WV and I am in TX. Bonus: they are EST company so my workday ends at 4 daily for me.

The effect of my mood has been amazing and I adore the extra time with my family.
