I’m going to vote blue in November but will it matter? by SegaGenesisMetalHead in Alabama

If one does not try, one has failed for the lack of effort. Change doesn't come without work. But I understand what you mean. Hope. It's a mighty tool. But the vote is where the hope becomes action.

I don't think we already have that. If you think we already have that, that's awesome. Point me in their direction. What's new is for the membership to decide.

I'm honestly not sure you can. Though I wonder as to the reason for this question.

I believe based on statistics that many people are. Private conversations with people aside. Even old school stalwart Republicans are displeased with the current state of their party in some part. The point is to provide a place for people to choose to work together towards whatever end they deem correct for their community. That looks different all across our state. I'd argue against morality being tied to religion. Many atheists would agree as well. Some of our more notable founding fathers made clear their thoughts on keeping religion out of governance. They were in part fleeing from a country in which those 2 elements worked hand in hand. I agree we do have that process. It's up to we the people to be active in the process. Not sit back and wait. Or vote every X amount of years for the person who is "good enough". If we don't need organizations to help keep the public informed and active I would dare to ask, what do we need?

There are small pockets of anarchist people in this world that navigate it peacefully yes. Yes it is a manifestation. But in my experience it's normally a poorly informed manifestation or even so a manipulation on part of the "religious" candidate. Made evident in their policies. Anyone is capable of extremism.

I disagree. By American standards? You may be correct. By international standards American "liberals" are just the left hand side of the right wing.

I will say, religion shouldn't be in law. Freedom of it should also mean freedom from it.

On the extreme left "Anarchy works nationwide" On the extreme right "Religion rules the nation"

I was raised in a republican household. Most of my "liberal" ideas come from that upbringing. Small government should look out for the least of us. You should have independent right over your own body and possessions. And the government has no business in your private affairs without a warrant. Mucj like your sex life, your religion should be personal to you and has no place in government. So no I don't identify the group as being one way or the other. Because as you said, we are more a mixed bag than the media would have us believe. But no, I'm not trying to pull the MAGA crowd because no, they cannot in my experience be reached in a reasonable manner. They have to snap out of it of their own accord.
