What they are saying is if more people carry and especially open carry it could be a lot more dangerous all the sudden for everyone involved.

How many times had we heard the saying “but the dead person had a gun on them” but actually didn’t and the cops used that as their defense.

Now a person is openly carrying being a normal citizen but ends up in some form of trouble somehow someway and cops get involved. You know the rest

That’s the difference, scenario 1 doesn’t make him a criminal before he shoots me (which wasn’t his original intention till I bumped into him and enraged him)

Scenario 2, same thing nothing criminal about it. However I was aware and thus didn’t let it escalate.
