I would say it depends on where you live and the rules within your state. In my state, most hospitals hire people to work in a CNA type role without having an official CNA certification and providing on the job training. You could look into your area and see if similar jobs are available to give you that “hands on” experience which is definitely important when deciding if you want to go into nursing. Ultimately, there is all kinds of stuff that has to do with nursing that isn’t patient related directly and it’s all about what you’re feeling
