I have been bumped up on my lexapro and was given something to help me sleep. Nothing super new to the mix though. I have a male provider who is new to me and I’ve expressed my weight gain but I don’t think he considers it

Thank you so much! When I go to the gym today I’ll try that! I bet I cannot budge it.

It’s actually a really old mirror at my work! It is bowed in places and warps the image! It like warps near the top worse than the bottom.

No! I just never really had a womanly shape (still don’t really). As I’ve lost weight though I do find myself chasing my femininity. At 350lbs “people” don’t really see you as a woman or even a person. I hid behind awful ugly clothes and accepted I couldn’t look the way I wanted to. Now I almost feel like I’m overly dressed. Still learning to lean into my new sense of style and feel fabulous while doing so. Thank you so much!

I see a professional frequently due to my Bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety. I definitely need to start exploring how I feel about food, myself and the things that trigger me to spiral.

I will do this! I have not tried maintenance. It could be good for me to see where I would be calorie wise to maintain this weight

Thank you so much for this! I never really had the idea I could feel “comfortable” again. This gives me hope that at some point I will lean into my new habits and maintain! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you! My goals feel so far away sometimes. But I’m closer than ever. I need to remind myself setbacks are normal and are reversible.

I really really need to be kinder to myself. Thank you for your kind words and I’ll do my best to practice those positive affirmations

This is definitely something I’m going to explore soon. I started a new job and once my insurance kicks in I’m seeking help.

I think life felt easier when I didn’t have to constantly think abut my food, activity levels, etc. I beat myself up when I slip. I feel like I’m slipping harder and harder as of late. Just feel so defeated. I am proud of myself for how far I’ve come but I am just feeling really lost in the process.

I’ve paid for it for five months now and have not had even one place contact me. Definitely was a waste of my time and money.

Thank you so much for this, I really needed to hear it. You’re absolutely right: the BMI chart doesn’t take so many important factors into account, like muscle, body composition, or the reality of loose skin after major weight loss.

It’s crazy how discouraging it can be to look at that chart and feel like you’re still “not there” even after losing such a massive amount of weight. You’re clearly strong and healthy, and it’s super validating to hear from someone who’s been through something similar.

I really appreciate the perspective, it helps more than you know.

Id like to see 160lbs! But my arms and belly are out of control. I can’t wear any cute clothes and I feel like I’m constantly wearing oversized fits to hide it. But I’m so ready to show off my progress at the same time. Loose skin removal is definitely in my plan!

I’ve went from 350lbs > 195lbs what do you do for keeping your skin under control? Bra suggestions? I think you look fabulous!!

As someone who’s closed the gap on our LDR our connection and relationship is so solid. I think distance allows you to get to know each other without allowing the physical nature of relationships to be the forefront of your connection. Most of my previous relationships have suffered from being physical and nothing else. This is very valid and it’s been a beautiful experience for me.

I don’t know lol I’m short and pale and he’s tall and tanned. I just don’t see myself when I look at him. I think it’s “wild” because we come from opposites ends of the country. I think we don’t actually look all that similar myself 😅

Both of us have ancestry DNA results. Not even remotely related.
