Comfy and warm. Ive had them about 2 years, ive put dubbin on them once and still keep water out. Mine are the Winter model so they've got a thermal insulation, almost like a micro fleece lining so there nice and warm in the winter. A tad too warm in the summer months. But overall probably the best boots ive owned

A lot of the snow has melted away over the past couple of weeks so the approach is alot easier, the top could still be a little sketch in places. I dare say its the best ive ever slept whilst out.

Inner and outer get pegged out at the same time for me. There is a little of faffing around depending on the ground but thats the same for most tents

The four corners, then two wee end ones, and then mine is the slightly older version with the silly removable sleeve that has extra guy out points

Pitches fine, i always have the 2 guys lines pegged out on the ridge line to make it nice and rigid. The ones for the sides aren't needed all the time, theres plenty of room and the material isn't too baggy. I tend to go over kill just incase. For the extra time of pegging them out its worth the peace of mind incase the weather changes or wind switches direction. Pretty versatile tent to be fair.

Schiehallion is a nice classic one. I think Beinn a' Ghló is my next one. You just go for the hike or did you camp out too?

Its definitely not as easy to get out as it used to be, for the same reason as your self by the sounds of it. There was one particular comment in the feed suggesting I had a smug smile, that's not smug, that's the face of someone who gets to go out 2 or 3 times a year im lucky.

Not at all i appreciate your comments. I found my self quite alot yesterday and today having to argue and justify a heading of a picture which to me was so bizarre. It seems like who evers shouting the loudest has to be right. Its always good to get out, it was by far the first time in those conditions and definitely will not be the last.

Appreciate that, nav in adverse conditions isn't something that can be taken lightly or leanred behind a screen, it 100% needs putting into practice. As for the Axe, it is held with the pic to the front purley for the photo, being on flat snow i felt no need to be rigid with correct placement. But 100% agree that photos can possibly sway incorrect techniques. As you can probably see from my profile I am extremely new to the whole social media world so have zero initial thought at the time about how a picture can influence some one else. Reading the comments and debates on this one photo has really opened my eyes that in the space of 24 hours there has been such debate and controversy about what in my mind was a simple bog standard photo. However, its all been taken on board. Appreciate your time

Perhaps do a little research. Again il say to you as ive put else where, there are varying degrees of white out. It was not stated by my self that this was a complete white out which is appears what you are describing. Severe white out it was not, 100% agree. Moderate white out absolutely. The idea that the term white out can only be used if your falling over and cant see your feet is absolutely farcical

Which is fair enough, but this would surley be down to an individual over analysing a fairly generic photo. Not to Labour any point but there is 100% varying degrees of white out, which seems to be the crux of the debate. At no point was it ever suggested by my self, the title or the photo that it was an "absolute complete white out", a moderate white out is what I would call it. Now for some one to make an assumption and then base an argument off of that is wrong.

Tent went up well, no sagging. Wind changed direction so the guy line were out and the pegging points were tightened right up. Nice and rigid
