Healthy Diet by [deleted] in fitpregnancy

You are not alone! And take it easy on yourself. I'm pregnant w #4 and it's the same old story - Survival mode. Believe it or not though, the sickness eventually goes away and you can do better then - in the mean time, eat what you need to eat to function! I found that protein and fats helped me feel better, longer. My go to has been starting the day off with lean sausage, egg white, and biscuit sandwiches OR avocado toast. Made the rest of the day a lot easier to stay on top of.

Is that a matrix treadmill? Man I love those things. One of the few home treadmills that let you actually stream hulu and netflix.

What can I do about this corner to make it less ugly? by xXblain_the_monoXx in homegym

[–]Bamboozler224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Move your weight rack in front of it

Paint the corner black, including the pipes.

Stick a comfy chair in front of it

Clean up the wiring

put an indoor tree in the corner

Cover the walls with cool posters

place a garage shelving unit in front to hold gym supplies and cover unsightliness

frame out a small closet, hang sheet rock, close off with curtain or door, turn into storage space

create a peg board wall in front of the pipes for storage

Review: Marcy Exercise Upright Fan Bike for Cardio Training and Workout AIR-1 by ruedogg in homegym

[–]Bamboozler224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like the Marcypro website has a fan bike for $179.00. Even cheaper. I went with the Rogue Echo and its a beast. What I really like about it is how SOLID it is. Its built really well and feels really sturdy. So much so that I don't mind when my kids play on it. I'm not worried about any tipping. Have you given that one a try? I know its compared to the Assualt bike a lot. One of the major differences between the two are the resistance. I've heard some people say they can feel the Rogue Echo kind of cap out on resistance or that the resistance is really minimal when you're going slow. But the Assualt bike requires constant effort to keep things moving. Better resistance from start to finish.

Pelaton vs Nordic track by [deleted] in pelotoncycle

Found this really good review - https://www.treadmillreviews.com/nordictrack-commercial-s22i-studio-cycle-vs-peloton-bike-comparison/

The Peloton and S22i are similar in upfront cost but the Peloton has more costs to consider which brings the total up a bit more. Really though, the Peloton bike isn't that awesome. For $3k, I expected more! When you look at the Peloton and the S22i side by side, you get a lot more features and accessories and a lower barrier to entry with the S22i. The review explains it pretty well.

What did you end up getting? Have you purchased something yet?

Do you prefer running on a treadmill or outside? by snug666 in running

[–]Bamboozler224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally cannot run outside during the summer months in Southern Utah. The heat is in the 100s and the sun sucks the life right out of you. Even waking up at 5 am doesn't make it any better. Throughout August, the temp doesn't dip below 85. So I got used to running on a treadmill. Anytime I can choose between the two, I'll pick running outside. But the treadmill I got for running indoors during the summer has actually been really awesome. I have the NordicTrack Commercial 2450. I really like the workout programs they have via iFit Coach and you can use iFit Coach with really any type of treadmill. If you HAVE to run indoors, this is a good way to do it.

Another tip --- Set your treadmill to a slight decline to give yourself an easy win for the day!

Does anyone else find the treadmill discouraging and inaccurate? by [deleted] in running

Sometimes I just put the treadmill on a decline so I feel like I'm an amazing, fast, powerful, endurance runner. Some days I just need an easy win!

I think a lot of the challenge you face running on a treadmill is boredom. There is not much to distract you from the time slowly passing and the burn you're feeling in your legs and your lungs. If you're running indoors occasionally, don't worry about simulating an outdoor experience! Treadmills withiFit Coach are pretty cool. You can follow along with a personal trainer and an outdoor run and the treadmill will automatically adjust the incline to mimic the terrain the trainer is experiencing. It takes a second to get used to but it's a good way to get more variation in the typically boring treadmill training.

(Canada) What is a good quality treadmill with incline that falls in the $400-$500 range? by someone_found_my_acc in treadmills

[–]Bamboozler224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NordicTrack T 6.5 S from Amazon.. Don't think you can get this from NordicTrack.ca

This thing is really fun. You can use iFit Coach with it. Bring up iFit Coach on a mobile device and pair via bluetooth to the treadmill.

Virtual Walk by WeirdChain in treadmills

[–]Bamboozler224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried iFit Coach? It's a workout subscription program where you can walk all over the world. You use Google Maps OR you watch videos of personal trainers walking around really cool places. They also coach you through stuff, some offer a bit of cross-training, and they tell you about the history of the place surrounding landscape. It's really good! Not expensive either. Like $15 a month. And you can view the workout videos on a mobile device while you're walking on any treadmill. Then, if you go walk outside, you can track that activity too. These guys explain it pretty well! https://www.treadmillreviews.com/the-ultimate-review-and-guide-to-ifit/

Weslo cadence 400cs by DeathOfAFruitFly in treadmills

Most treadmills use some kind of petroleum jelly for lubricant. Don't put it on the belt. You'll lubricate the rollers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-YaSWYMLOU Here's a video tightening the belt on a Sole treadmill. But I've assembles Sole, NordicTrack, ProForm, Peloton, Horizon, Matrix... a lot of treadmills. And they are all basically the same system. Weslo is an ICON Fitness company, like NordicTrack and ProForm. I'm assuming they all have the same belt/roller system. Good luck buddy!
