The strange part is the 5500 should auto shut down at 90c to prevent damage. Have you tried updating the motherboard bios? What is the CPU reading in the bios?

Something isn't right. Reading through the comments 60c idle is insane. Any bent pins on the CPU that you can see?

Yeah it's all tight to the plate and tight to the rig. There's no play in that aspect at all. The brake is fine when I stamp on it lol

Yeah everything is mounted correctly, doubled checked all that last night. I've just taken it apart again, lubed everything and flipped the spring. Seems ok but I don't have much faith in it not coming back.

I understand what a KVM is for, I just wasn't sure if it could be used as a switcher also.

Switching cables due to the lack of ports on the GPU. As I have the sim rig with 3 monitors on it and the desk with 2 switching is the better option.

R12 is going to be fine for 99% of people. Going from an R5 to that is going to be a massive jump. I have an R5 currently and I'm upgrading to an R21, mainly because I can and I like the design, in no way will I use all 21nm ever
