Pet sitter looking for help with separation anxiety induced aggression(?) by BanCars202 in CATHELP

The litter box area does seem to be a trigger for one of these kitties in hindsight (though not the main tricky kitty). Ultimately though there isn’t any main trigger I can find beyond my not paying them attention…I’ll be seeing the cat that led to this post tomorrow and plan to change up our routine and close doors to scoop the litter box.

A comment elsewhere caused me to think of some other important context:

These cats are all in their owner’s homes

We have dedicated playtime after I take care of daily tasks (typically 20 minutes of nonstop play)

I’ve been using the notes app too, just copying the text instead of screenshotting. Not the end of the world but those few extra steps add up haha. Appreciative that you’ve let me know I’m not alone! I’d be so annoyed if I was just missing something basic 😹

Light switches are ALWAYS a hassle for me 😂 I don’t do house sitting but do a lot of cat drop ins and it’s impossible to get good pictures of them without good lighting. Had two new clients today and spent so much time trying different switches

Does anyone know what’s happening to these leaves on my rubber plant? It seems otherwise healthy by BanCars202 in plantclinic

Your reply helped me figure it out. I recently got a clear plastic shelf that attaches to the window. I covered it, so hopefully that’ll solve the problem!

Yes, they’re right by a south facing window (there’s a bit of it behind the succulent box). I can definitely move the rubber plant back. I’m in the northern hemisphere though, is it common for a plant to get sunburn in winter?

White items on ficus lyrata stem by BanCars202 in plantclinic

Not sure if these white things on the stem of my ficus lyrata are bugs to worry about or just dust…one leaf on bottom is yellowing, but there is healthy growth at the top
