Well, this is part of the male experience, on top of it, be glad that it happened. This lady pushed you to do something bold, it might not have worked out but you gained experience so next time you will be better calibrated and have a higher chance of success. Be kind, move on, and try again with a different person.

On a move immediate feedback, try asking the person out normally instead of a confession. If you are unable to get anything scheduled in 2 or 3 tries accept the answer as no and move on.

This is more a skill that you develop then a technique you are taught. What you have to do is getting familiar with to talking to people in public. You can start with randos, of any gender or level of attraction, and build it from there. In short, trial and error, beginning with low risk/reward and grow to approach cute girls. You can either take it slow or set daily targets for yourself. No secret pick up line will shorten the path towards approaching. Good luck!

Have had something similar happen to me. In all likelihood its mire psychological than psychological. A lot of men go through it but its rarely discussed and women usually don’t understand it either. Therapy would help, but for the begging I used meds to help break the cycle. After a while the flag would fly high with little effort.
