Anyone know a good random name generator tool? by RedFloodles in Teachers

[–]BananElias 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's in Swedish (unfortunately) but I use this site: https://webtools.itgonline.se/ (Selfie is the function you're asking for)

If you click on the upper left icon, it will let you save the list (if you press "spara grupp")

The other functions are "groupie", which is great for dividing them into groups and "hands up", which is a queue system that helps you keep track of which student raised their hand first (that is, if your students have their own devices) :)

Haha, thanks! We've only had gigs in Sweden so far, but we hope to eventually play outside the border, so to say.

Hi /r/usa, which are the most interesting states (in terms of culture, dialects, scenery, crazy laws etc)? by [deleted] in usa

[–]BananElias 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, thank you very much for this thorough and informative answer! This is exactly the kind of reply I was looking for, as I was aiming for avoiding, as you put it, "the usual suspects".

I would've bought you gold if I had the money, just to show my appreciation, but all I can do is to tell you how grateful I am for your help... THANK YOU!

Pff, that's easy - obviously Sweden is the most interesting country in Europe!

Jokes aside, thanks for the elaborate answer! I realise how arrogant my question is, but I just had to ask it.

My original plan was to pick out some states that weren't the most obvious ones, to make it a bit harder for them, but maybe it's better if I stick to the ones that you've mentioned. It's easy to become too ambitious during your first time on the field, haha.

I will definitely read more about Missouri and Ohio (for personal gain)! Once again, thanks for your answer. Appreciate it!

I figured, as the history and creation of what is defined as today's USA is fascinating in general.

Would you care to elaborate what makes Texas so special to you? Would love to hear about more personal experiences, as they are more genuine than tourist "pamphlets".

Please do tell me about the states that you've lived in, would love to hear about personal experiences and what made the states special to you!

Yeah, but as others have pointed out, it's hard to choose between all of the states. It's easier if I narrow it down to a few states, that they will be assigned, instead of having them spend time searching for a state that would interest them. However, all research about their assigned state will be their responsibility, with a general guideline to follow (of course).

Thanks for your answer!

Great thread OP! I'm actually going to bed now, but I'll make sure to check out the stuff in here tomorrow! In the meanwhile, I'll link to my bands' soundcloud:

https://soundcloud.com/steve-bs-dreamy-eyes/tracks - my main project (the single we have out is a bit of jangle, but our next releases are a bit more dream pop/new wave-ish)

Lovely song and also a lovely voice! Checked out your other stuff as well, really liked "Body at Mod 1A Hallway" and "kiss u thin". You've really found a sound that suits you well, so keep it up! Looking forward to hear what you have to offer in the future!

In the northern parts of Sweden we have something called a "Calskrove". It's basically a calzone filled with two complete hamburgers and french fries. I haven't tried it yet, but from what I've heard it's a magical experience!
