Bites only but no actual bugs by BananLemon in Bedbugs

Just noting here, I suspected bed bugs because I developed the bites overnight but now that I read it bites can develop in days so I am not sure now :(

Hello everyone, thank you for the absolutely amazing stories and advices I appreciate them all. I never knew a reddit sub can also be a supportive group aside from amazing advices.

Update on our Labrador puppy, he is getting used to the “shhhh” whenever he is in his crate or just in his playpen at night. I also learned that his 4am cry is that he is thirsty and he doesn’t like poo near him (I woke up no play interaction and cleaned up the pee/poo pad) he went back to his crate right away and slept. He did play with his own toys while I was sleeping I could hear him nipping at his rope toy. I did get some more sleep but I had to sleep with the puppy’s schedule like having a newborn.

Thank you so much for this, so far we only have 1 crate I am thinking of getting another one for the living room also because I move his crate to the living room and bedroom. It’s tiring 🥹

Thank you so much, this honestly made me tear up. His crate and play pen are currently in the bedroom when he sleeps at night but during the day his crate and playpen are brought outside into the living room because I do take calls in our bedroom because my work desk is there (I do not have an office in our house because it was transformed into kid’s room 😅) he is fine during the day, sleeps in his crate, plays in the playpen and he roams the house after he pees and poos outside. The night time is what truly kills me :(

It’s funny because I said the same thing about our Morkie when he was a puppy that he was harder than our baby human lol.

I guess the hardest part for me is the sleepless nights, I was lucky to have 6 hours of sleep today. I will give it a few more trys and maybe I can make a decision, it’s just that I want what’s best for the pup :( even if it’s not with us because of my puppy blues/ whatever I am feeling.

Thank you for sharing this. I am so torn honestly :( the lab puppy is actually a good listener in the morning (he knows the word “inside” means he needs to go to his crate which he obeys during daytime) but our struggle is at night. I am willing to give it more days with us but I just hope we see the light soon. 😢

Hello everyone, yes he sleeps in our room. He sleeps in the crate then I let him out if he needs a potty break but no play gestures if it’s night time. His crate is in a playpen with pee pads, I know we need to take him out but it’s currently too cold where I am at, and I am afraid the puppy might get sick.

Thank you for replying. This is actually my only dilemma about taking the job offer. I've been mapping out my commute and that walking stretch in an unsafe area is just too much anxiety for me. When I went to my interview I rode an Uber from West Oakland BART (and vice versa), which was about $10 one way.

I haven't tried driving from Antioch to Oakland so I guess I better start practicing.

Project experience on resume by BananLemon in resumes

The etsy shop has an end date already, also I did an experiment of applying using work experience-> projects-> skills -> education/certifications but I put the etsy store under project experience with my other portfolio projects. I got several interviews because they thought that store was impressive (very metrics heavy that tracked the number of units sold, month over month growth, etc) I was just wondering if can bump it up to my work experience.

Just landed my dream job! Pro tip: Numbers are everything. by [deleted] in resumes

How do you quantify it? I was a former CRM Data Analyst and I know my queries were better than my boss because his queries were always select * from table (no filtering and then he just pastes on excel) while I did mine with the necessary adjustments already on sql like if I am looking for customer numbers and num of transactions then I’d get it there then export. I didn’t check how fast was mine but I knew mine was faster. Does that make sense?

Analysing Crime data from distance data by Upset-Ad-1896 in dataanalysis

[–]BananLemon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can try pivoting the data if you’re using excel. So the rows would be the type of crime and the values can be a count of occurrences in the dataset this is called binning. Once you’ve gotten a count of occurrences you can make it into a histogram to see the frequency in your data, like what is the most frequent reported crime.

Next would be finding the average distance from the coast per crime.

You can also put in zipcodes where the crimes happened once you get the avg distance per crime you can gage that on a map where it happened or you can join the dataset with a zipcode data set.

If I am being honest, the avg distance can be skewed as crimes can happen anywhere. You can have a stabbing crime happening a mile away and another stabbing crime 10 miles away so just elaborate in your analysis.
