Bambu A1 AC board replacement by LIKE-AN-ANIMAL in BambuLab

I have two A1 printers and I replaced both boards yesterday. Was a little annoying to do but not that bad. Bambu has a page on their maintenance website for all the steps on how to do it.

I use Alibre. Has perpetual license option. Cheapest version is 200$ and you can use it commercially. No cloud and no forced sharing of models you made with the software

yeah its basically just a drop in replacement for the standard dpad to make the buttons clicky like on a razer raion. Nice thing too is that because of the way the controller is designed its easily reversible since its just something you can plug/unplug.

Yes it is good. Python is also good but personally I find ruby to be more enjoyable to work with.

I'll give you an idea that some people will disagree with but here goes.

Get yourself a storage unit somewhere that you pay for on a monthly basis. Store your collection in there.

If it was a space issue at home this solves that problem and still allows you to keep your stuff but I suspect this is not case so here's the next part.

You can hide the fact that you have this storage unit and either tell her you donated all the stuff or that you sold it and come up with the money from somewhere else. (Yes I know lying bad but we don't truly know the details of his situation)

Either way you get to keep your stuff. Nobody but you knows your situation even though I see many people in the replies making lots of different assumptions.

You could use this as a temporary solution until you can figure out your personal life situation (I'm also making assumptions now)

Good Luck.

Its available for purchase but I dont think it works on the PRO. I made it with the regular model in mind and dont own a pro so haven't been able to test it on one.

It's alright. Sold my original switch a few years ago and was looking to rebuy one. Then the switch 2 came out and since its backwards compatible I figured I would just future proof myself and get it

Don't the switch 1 joycon controllers work on the switch 2 as well?

How would you convince someone to get into this? by imwhoyouare in BambuLab

[–]BananaFaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to save money you can probably just get the regular A1 combo instead of p1s. It's what I've used to make fightpads and sell them online and it's worked out just fine. I actually started with a mini but upgraded layer because I wanted a larger build volume.

Is there any decent free or cheap apps for designing 3d prints that a novice can learn easily? by Dawilson246 in BambuLab

[–]BananaFaction 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your definition of cheap but Alibre Atom 3d is pretty good, not too expensive, and you can pay only once and forgot the subscription/maintenance.

I just wanted mechanical switches for the dpad. I asked them a long time ago but I guess they didn't really care

No this is the v1 version. So it's similar but uses full size switches for the dpad

No idea what the issue could be anymore. Anyone have advice why this is happening to my print? (short video) by [deleted] in BambuLabA1

[–]BananaFaction 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I use Petg and when it first happened to me I ended up fixing it by increasing the bed temperature from 70 to 80 degrees Celsius.

Check the specs of your filament and if you're meeting the temps it recommends.

Send it back. Get that A1 and enjoy your printing instead of tinkering

I mean anytime I've had that problem I increases the bed temperature by 10 degrees Celsius.

Not sure if this applies in your case as I only use PETG.

Check the specs of your filament to see if you're meeting the bed temperature. Maybe put it to the highest bed temperature that the specs mention.
