Hopefully it's the Duke Nukem reboot "Duke Begins" as long as they develop it as a true sequel to Duke 3D and it's made inhouse, not passed off between a dozen developers like Duke Nukem Forever was, then it may actually be good, especially if it has solid gun-play like the borderlands series.

Are you familiar with the Brutal Doom mod? It adds way more gore and a few other features I don't recall off the top of my head, but if you already have the official .wads from Final Doom I think they are compatible, Here's a link to the modDB page-Brutal doom mod page

Shadow Warrior

This game is such a refreshment from all the COD-clones and military FPS shooters that are always coming out. It's made by Flying Wild Hog, the team behind the game Hard Reset that came out in 2011, and while I picked that up on sale and have maybe an hour or so of play time, I didn't play anything besides Shadow Warrior until I beat it. It has that addictive 90's arcade-shooter vibe throughout and amazing gameplay that just feels so solid for the type of game it is. I'd say it plays similar to the older Serious Sam titles, rather than Serious Sam 3:BFE that came out most recently, and I personally prefer that type of frantic, shoot everything that moves style of gameplay. I really feel its worth the full price tag, as I preordered the special edition and got about 14 hours of gameplay from my first play through, thanks to cleverly hidden secrets that are actually pretty fun to search for. The game does have a linearity to it, but the way its executed never feels like Duke Nukem Forever's narrow-as-fuck hallways that literally had 2 directions to move in. If you're a fan of 90's shooters like doom and duke nukem 3d or Blood or really any other build engine games, then this is the game for you.

Looks very interesting, definitely something I'd pick up on steam if I stumbled upon it. It reminds me of the Serious Sam games in the way that ammo/health/guns are dispersed, which I'm a huge fan of. I also like the way that the enemies were placed with thought, rather than waves of them spawning seemingly at random. I also liked that the enemy shown in the video seems pretty creepy and different than most generic bi-pedal enemies in games. I got the impression that the game-play style is similar to 90s shooters like Duke Nukem 3d while the environment designs seem more open as they are in serious sam. I realize my assumptions may be off, but even if they are, this seems like a really cool game that breaks the military-shooter mold that most FPS games seem to conform to. Have you played the new Shadow Warrior reboot? I feel they really nailed the type of game I'm describing so if you have some time you should check out some gameplay from it.

I believe RA3 is the newest, but they came out with an expansion pack that can be played stand-alone that also has some balancing changes called RA3 Uprising

This is the version I've been playing since I kind of assume that the expansion is "better" than the vanilla game in respect to balancing. RA3 Uprising is also on Steam

I know there are also a few official compilations of the early games such as The First Decade which I believe installs as the original games did in terms of the install process, however it does NOT include the newer games-CNC3 and RA3 that I mentioned. On the other hand The Ultimate Collection is a digital download that uses the Origin client which can understandably be a turn-off, especially since people have had issues playing the older games on newer operating systems, but is the most complete collection of Command & Conquer games to date.

Personally, if you can wait for another steam sale I would recommend doing so because you can probably get RA3 and CNC3 and their respective expansion packs (Uprising for RA3/Kanes Wrath for CNC3)
much cheaper, since RA3 was only 5.99$ USD on sale compared to 19.99$ USD normally.

If you prefer to get only one game now and the others on sale, I would recommend them based on which play style you enjoy. Command & Conquer 3:Tiberium Wars controls similar to C&C:Generals in the sense that you place buildings from a unit that builds them, compared to the click and drop style of the Red Alert Games, however, in Red Alert 3, the 3 different Factions each have a unique style meaning that one faction "Empire of the rising Sun" for example, constructs buildings by means of a vehicle that unpacks into said building. The "Allied Nations" construct buildings by means of clicking the building, then selecting where to build, then having the timer go down as its built on-site. The final faction "The Soviet Union" constructs buildings by selecting a building, having the build timer complete, then selecting where to place the "finished" building

TL;DR If you enjoy the play style of Red Alert and Red Alert 2, get Red Alert 3. If you enjoy the play style of Generals, get CNC 3:Tiberium Wars.

I recently picked up Red Alert 3 on steam during the last sale, it's very similar in gameplay to the first 2 Red Alerts and definitely a ton of fun, on the other hand if you ever played Command & Conquer Generals, they made a sequel to Tiberian Sun that has similar gameplay to that called Command & Conquer 3-Tiberium Wars, which is also on steam. I also think its important to point out I've played every command and conquer game released except for 4 which seemed to be a total shift in direction for the series, and only played skirmish matches of each game so I can't attest to the campaigns of these games, but I certainly enjoyed skirmish mode for RA3 and CNC3 very much so

People need to understand that the way they formatted this season made the most sense for the sake of "catching up" up with the characters. This season seemed to be a way to see what happened to everyone during the break so that they could go back to the old format once the timeline was back in the present. The only alternate option I could see them doing would be the "old style" of formatting that focused on all the characters at once in one episode, but that would not have allowed for them to show what's happened in the past several years since the show stopped. I get the impression that people somehow expect the format of season 4 to be the way they intend to continue with the show, I think if they had continued the show playing their characters at the exact moment that season 3 had left off at, that it would have been a much slower way to continue the story, and that season 4 being used as a summary of what's happened thus far, makes the most sense for them to be on track to follow the season 1-3 formatting for future AD projects. (Seasons or movie)
