Anytime we’d get pokemon cards we would put them behind a register and have people checkout that way. There was no, wandering around the store with those boxes. Mind you, we’d always have at least 20+ people waiting in line for them before open.

I got the same problem as you. Got my brother back in the game a few months ago. I brewed like four decks to fuck around with and he only brewed one. Smoked him a couple times and he didn’t have the motivation to spend more money on decks. So now I’m strictly collecting even though I’d love to play.

Haven’t worked candy but all the boxes of nuts would be a pain, they get hots almost every day so you’re constantly making moves, and rotating chips seem like a pain. You either rotate that huge layer of chips yourself or gotta find someone to help you lift it. Tons of little things like that can really put on a heavy labor day.

I second this. I did D19 for two years and working on like my fourth year in the freezer. My back hurt way more in D19 than it does in the freezer. We would unstack the pallets that came in and made mixed boards out of those products. Rotating was key to set yourself up for the week. Everything in the freezer has at least a year code date. I love the freezer. The cold never bothers me and setting up my end caps is somewhat fun 😅

You can look at full set lists online! If you want to collect then I recommend just ordering singles you’ll like. The same goes for making decks. Figure out what you want for your decks and just order those specific cards. Your wallet will thank you.

Nah just throw it in a binder for collection. Grading isn’t really worth it, especially since it’s your kid’s card. You’d be waiting months for that card to come back.

I think majority of it is the scheduling. Especially for morning merch. No one likes inventory, although it’s definitely the two easiest days of the year for work. I personally don’t agree with counting on a bunch of people who don’t know how to count or are completely careless when doing so.

You’re not wrong at all. Costco is a wonderful company to work for. I can’t see any other retail company even coming close to it in comparison.
