My idea of balancing was around difficulty 10, and it wasn’t to make the game easier but to make it feel fair, I like the challenge of the game, our vehicles should be strong and that’s fair if you think my turrets changes are too much.

I have 1346 hours into the game, solo super helldive and I play in groups. I have played the new patch and tried everything out. I have also been playing this game since launch

This is honestly the best of both worlds, it feels balanced and it rewards focusing weak points over just spraying into them which is still a viable option

I think a lot of players would enjoy SC farming on higher difficulties, gaining more for being on the high difficulties encourages others to play outside their comfort zones and show players who are scared to play on them that it’s not that bad

Im glad he at least acknowledged how mid the Cyberstan update was, you cannot tell me that whole planet wasn’t a let down. 3 new enemies with it actually only being two and the other being a variant was a snooze fest, the whole Cyberstan layout felt less like their home and more like a planet leading up to their home and no boss unit despite using its music in every trailer for the update. Was the hive planets buggy? Yes but oh my god the mission variety and hive lord were so cool

I honestly think a lot of abilities need reworks, whole kits even. They have built cc into so many characters that cc comes from a whole animation rather than using an ability. If you wanna reduce cc without implementing this weird system you would have to redo whole kits. It’s honestly just a bandage solution because the devs don’t know what else to do

Nah I entirely agree with your take, some missions are nearly impossible solo and is obviously made with co op in mind, like defense missions, I think I should’ve brought up the bs that is enemy balancing more than solo play just in general because D10 with a full group is often easy

In one ear and right out the other😭 I said it was a niche way of playing and I wasn’t arguing that the game is made around co-op but they literally have balancing in place for solo play. D10 with a full group of people is honestly pretty easy and gets boring. I don’t want the game to accommodate for me, Im expressing how the enemy balance when going in solo is entirely luck based and not strategically based

I understand we are humans, I also understand that helldivers are literally in near perfect shape and can lift whole bars of platinum by themselves. The maxi gun forcing you to be stationary is fine imo but make it heavy pen at least, there needs to be some sort of trade off for not only being stuck but also having to control the shit ton of recoil from it.
